From Clear to Cloudy

Thursday's clear blue skies turned into a cloudy day yesterday and today has been dark and dreary.

Zack's team lost their scrimmage yesterday morning and with the windy, rainy weather of today, practice was cancelled. We've had the perfect pajama day.

Yesterday was spent visiting with a friend, Her 7 year old daughter drew this pretty little picture for me. I've been in a slump for weeks when it comes to creating.

Guess I'll go heat up the kitchen by baking some lemon blueberry muffins for school tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Dreary days call for lighted candles along with the smell of those blueberry muffins baking. Save me one, please. Grabbing my cup and on my way! Such a sweet drawing for you. Have a lovely day.

So sorry for Zack's loss. Of course that happens. Part of learning about life. I would sure love to sashay over to your kitchen for a muffin and cuppa. LOL Presto, I can smell them.

Hope Zack wasn't too disappointed although that is part of life right? Creative slump? Maybe too much holiday stress..take time to relax and unwind...

your muffins sounds delish too!

Well, you are a smart mom!!! Food always makes things so much easier to take--and I'm so sorry their team lost...I hope they win next time--let us know!!!!

I hope your weather gets better...Luckily, it's sunny today, but the temps are cold...not very "New Orleans," is it?

Sending hugs your way and sure wish you lived closer--we'd have so much fun!!!

Tammy,
Oh, grey weather is the pits for creativity! That kind of stuff makes me want to bake, so I guess you do, too! YUMMY, what's better than some warm muffins from the oven!

I agree with Cindy...you need to live closer so we can hang out together! One day.....

Warm hugs to you, my friend.

Wow! I've been really out of touch lately. Going back to work this week has really thrown me off. What a sweet little girl to draw such a lovely picture. How funny it should be of a rainbow. Maybe she's wishing for one with all the dreary weather we've been getting. Would love to have some of those lemon bluberry muffings now. Miss ya...mwah!!

Well, if it's already a dreary day, I hope there's no dust.

Lemon Blueberry muffins should cheer you up. Sorry about the gloomy weather. We are finally experiencing sunshine. Weather in the high 60s and low 70s. Still cool at night. If DH feels up to it, we may take the motorhome and spend a couple of days in the desert. It's wonderful this time of year.

Bright days area great, but I tend to spend them killing myself outside. Dreary days are great for staying inside and being coze. I love both types!

Today is bright and 50 degrees, so I'll be repairing the enormous ruts left by the tow truck a couple of weeks ago :(

It makes me laugh to hear about your weather, because we have the same here. HA! More clouds today... I am glad to know that you did not have to go sit in bad weather at baseball practice. Nice reason to stay at home.
Renee's picture is great. I can't believe she is 7 now. I remember when you used to write me stories about having her in your class. Isn't it nice to have a little girl around? I bet it has been a while since your boys drew you a picture... HA!

Love,
Renee
