One of my favorite places to BE

I posted on January 3rd about my visit to BE Cafe with my Colorado boy.  It's a plant based restaurant not far from where we live so very convenient to get to and a nice place to chill.
Today I was there with my good friend, Melissa.
She's not vegan and has very fussy ideas about food which I always tease her about.
I thought having her try the lentil and tofu wraps would be playing it safe, but all I can say is, at least she tried.  Everything I've eaten at the cafe tastes pretty darn good to me.  So while I cleaned my plate, she did not.  :)
I really and truly just enjoy the location and ambiance of the place and she was equally impressed with that so has agreed to meet me there again to try something else on the menu.
Last week I chopped half my hair off and am loving it.
We sat by the sea and chatted for a bit, but the weather has been a bit hazy and colder because of a dust storm several days ago.
My son and I wanted to try the kombucha when we were there but they were all out, so today I came home with a bottle of Lavender Pear.
Cheers to Monday!

Happy Monday Tammy! I loved the café you showed us - a twist on the bohemian side - and would certainly loved to try the food in the pictures :)

You have some of the neatest restaurants/cafes to hang at - LOVE the comfiness of the couches and the decor. Alas, I'm not big on all plant items either and still love meat occasionally (at least chicken and fish), but I do like some bean dishes.

Your hair looks cute. Funny though for me that's about the length of mine now and it's very long for me - it's the longest I've had it in years and I'm slowly growing it out. Jim and I both in fact ;) Seriously - we are going to see how long each of us can grow our hair this last year of paid work before retirement and he plans to wear a pony tail at some point. I encouraged it as I love long hair on guys of all ages. (We're just old hippies you know).

Happy new week,
Linda

Hi Tammy, I had a nice day in a nice environment with your friend, the style of the café is very nice, I have heard a lot of kombucha, but I still wonder if I have tried it, and I wish you to use your new style hair very well.. :)

I remember your last post about this restaurant, and I am glad you have had another chance to return. Does anyone else go there - or did you just have everyone move so you could take a picture? LOL. Funny you should mention a haircut - I am growing out my layers and it is at that frustrating stage ... I have been tempted to go short, which I have never done. I think I am too chicken ... Have a super week!

IT looks like a beautiful café. I'm afraid I would be much like your friend. Not a lot into vegan food but I'm always willing to try new foods too. I have heard a lot about kombucha but have never tried it. Lavender pear sounds interesting. Was it good?
Blessings,
Betsy

Happy Monday, the cafe has a wonderful atmosphere to it-some vegan food is just not for everyone lol I know I was a vegan for around 12 to 15 years back in the 70s and early 80s
I love your new haircut- Back in those days I made my own kambucha and it was a big thing again in the 90s I ended up getting sick from it but I read it does have allot of health benefits.
Have a good week ahead Kathy

You look so stylish with your new hairdo! I think that cafe looks so cozy and comfy.. I would be willing to try a vegan dish too.. maybe if it had avocado in it. I'm glad to see you blogging more, I missed you! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The cafe looks like a fun place to visit. I have to side with your friend, can't stomach tofu and I'm not terribly fond of pulses, although lentils are some of the better. Your new haircut is pretty, are you liking it?
Have a great week!

I love the colors and textures they used in that cafe! I hope Melissa finds something she enjoys on your next visit; I hardly ever find a food I don't enjoy! Ha! And, it shows. LOL! LOVE your hair! You look SO cute! I'll never forget the first time I tried kombucha... I shook the bottle before opening it. NOT a good idea. LOL! Interesting tastes though! Have a wonderful week, Tammy. blessings ~ tanna

That's such a lovely place, Tammy. The patchwork sofas are so cheerful and again made me smile. What a shame that Melissa didn't like the lentil wrap. Maybe she'll find something on the menu that is more to her taste next time. Your new hairstyle looks great!

Looks like a cozy, easy and a bit hippie place.
I tried Kombucha too but I didn´t like it so much.
Don´t remember which taste it was though.

You are very cute! :)
