And now let us welcome the new year, full of things that never were.

I think it's extra special that the first day of the new year arrived along with the first full moon of 2018.
2017 was a year filled with a lot of negative energy that needs to be released.
It's the perfect time to to step back, reflect, and focus on nurturing and improving our mind, body and spirit. It's also a good time to just breathe. Did you know that it's been scientifically proven that most people are shallow breathers? Breathing deeply and properly has a calming effect on our body. In fact, just sitting and breathing deeply is itself a form of meditation. And when we are calm, when we breathe and meditate, we are able to manifest the desires of our heart.

Why do so few of us know how to breathe properly?
New Year.
New ideas.
New opportunities.
New energy.
New beginnings.
I have high hopes for 2018!
Sending light and love to all,

Dearest Tammy,
Yes, breathing very deep is a calming way and for feeding your brains with optimum oxygen for top function.
As simple as it sounds, we all should focus on going more back to that simple basic.
Love your full moon photo!
Wishing you a happy and positive year.
We are dealing with very cold nights, last night it was -7˚C... No wonder that our kitties wanted to lay atop of the down duvet on the beds.
Hugs,
Mariette
Tammy.. I'm sitting here taking deep breaths.. lol. I'm looking forward to a whole new year of being inspired by you.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Happy new year to you.....hears to a good one! xxx
Beautiful full moon photos. I have heard, and been told about the deep breathing although it's hard for me to remember to actually do it! Wishing you a wonderful new year, full of positive things to be grateful for.
Blessings always my friend,
Betsy
You are so right my friend, why is it I fail to remember this simple activity even after years of trying to de-stress. Thank you for the reminder and Happy New Year. May it be more peaceful for all of us.
It´s so true. Just breathe and just be, look around, is to live.
I bought a necklace several years ago. And I chose between what I bought and one where it stood "BREATHE". Selected the first one and has regretted me since. Breathe right and everything will work out the best. Right?
We have a beautiful moon here too now. With a great aura. :)
I agree 2017 was a bad year. Now it´s time for much better times.
Blessings to you.
Tammy - I am not sure why, but your post brought a tear to my eye. Maybe because my kids leave for school soon - we have two more days with them - and I have so many hopes for them in the New Year! When I get stressed, I will remember to BREATHE DEEPLY. Thank you, my friend!
I am so in love wih the moon...especially Super Moons. We saw December’s in Zion National Park and it was amazing! Now I watched January 1, 2018 from my home windows all night since I didn’t sleep. And another one due January 31st. Glorious! Now for me to practice deep breathing and feeling wonderfully calm. Blessings for 2018 Dear...<3
Happy New Year Tammy to you and your family.
Love the full moon photo and amazing that no matter where we are in the world, we all look up at the same beautiful moon.
Wishing for a wonderful 2018 with good health and happiness, peace and joy.
hugs
Carolyn
Thank you for the reminder, Tammy! It's been a while since I last concentrated on my breathing even though it feels good to do that.

Happy new year Tammy!
We vowed to be more into the hygge groove this year so we do started it taking deep breaths :)
Good morning, I loved your post it was sooo frigid cold here still that I did not venture out to see the full moon-which I agree was quite special to start the brand new year.
Happy New Year Kathy
You are a breath of Sunshine, Tammy!! May this be a year of peace and harmony. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
I too thought it was neat that the first full moon of January and of the new year occured on January 1st. :) I didn't take any photos though - too cold.
While I like the thought of new things, I'm not too big on the fact that it's a new year since in reality it's just another day of living and problems are part of life. To me, it's like life is drifting away far too quickly. I always wonder who will be dying this year because my parents are truly towards the end of their lives. It's difficult for me to live not thinking about such things.
I always enjoy your photos and posts. ♥
I'm sending you light and peace and serenity for 2018...to everyone.....God knows we need it!
