Marvel at the Moon

When I told my youngest son that I was going out to take pictures of the moon, his response was "like you haven't seen that before."
(He said the same thing when I took tons of pictures of bees this summer.)
And when my husband called while I was out and I told him what I was doing, his response was "You and the moon."
So  my family thinks I'm crazy.
I'm okay with that.
As Briony of Crafty Cats Corner commented on my previous post ...

We should never be blase about nature, it is just simply the most wonderful thing. Every leaf, flower, bird etc has its place in the world and should be appreciated.
For most people, we often marvel at the beauty of a sunrise or the magnificence of a full moon, but it is impossible to fathom the magnitude of the universe that surrounds us.

Have a good night!

Beautiful photos, Tammy. Yes, let's never be blase about nature - it's so glorious and always new yet always there.

Beautiful. I agree. Nature needs to be appreciated and taken care of.

You and I are moonies. I took a shot you're going to love and will put it on my next post. Are you having fun on your trip and staying cool? We're enjoying some long-awaited rain and cool weather.. we're hoping it puts out some of these wild fires and forest fires we're battling here in the PNW. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Dearest Tammy,
Love your incredible photos, that bee is excellent too.
Too bad if one does not possess the ability to see the many little wonders in nature around us...
Keep doing what you do with such passion as it enriches your life and that of many others!
Hugs,
Mariette

Great Moon shots Tammy, (and bee too!). I especially like the one with the tree fronds showing. So pretty. We're still waiting on Teresa's "west side" rain to arrive here in eastern Washington. Hopefully tomorrow. The fires grew tremendously today with 60 mph winds.
Blessings,
Betsy

Hi Tammy ~ Oh my what magnificent shots of the moon. Each one is so special and so different. Love how you capture nature so well with your camera. It's like you feel what you shoot...and it comes through and makes me say...Awwwww!

When we lived in NY I loved the view of the Catskill Mountains as we drove over a bridge into town and often begged the children to appreciate it [and many other "wonder" "full" things in the world around us]. They were tolerant of my passion sometimes then and now, but it is always a delight when we can share that passionate appreciation of the beautiful, isn't it Tammy. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos and thoughts. May you and yours have delightful days in the days ahead! xx

I love that you took pix of the moon! I did too...it looked pink at the beach. My son actually got out his phone and took a picture too.

You obviously have a very good camera Tammy, the photo of the moon is wonderful. You are not crazy and if you are then we need a lot more crazy people in this world.
I never fail to be mesmerized by the moon.

I agree with Briony! The moon is supposedly feminine so that may be why they don't appreciate it as much as we do. I get excited about everything in nature even critters I don't want near me! LOL!

More bee and moon photos, pul-eese! I love them. Don't feel badly about your family thinking you are crazy, Tammy. Mine has thought that for quite some time now. ha hahaha We bloggers are a unique lot. I like to think we appreciate everything more than the average non-blogging person. Susan

Hi Tammy,
I love the way you look at things and I totally agree with you.
My family has made similar comments to me before, lol. I marvel at the tiniest details of nature. Today, for instance, in between preparing for a dinner with my parents tonight, and normal household chores, I was in the garden many times throughout the day sitting with, photographing, checking on, my Monarch Chrysalis. There are 2 and one is ready to open up as a butterfly - it will likely happen tomorrow when I'm at work :( But at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that I played a great part in this process by providing the milkweed that they've frequented all summer long and the neighboring plants where they've made their pupae. I'm mesmorized by this process as I am often by nature - God's wondrous creation.
Have a wonderful week,
Linda
