That's how long I've been away.
July 10th, we departed Kuwait via Washington to New Orleans for the first leg of our trip.
July 13th
Spent time with blog friend, Val, in Slidell.
July 15th
Headed to Hattiesburg to spend time with my mom and brother.
July 20th
Back to New Orleans for a flight to Denver on the 21st.
Road trips to Alamosa, Colorado.
Moab, Utah.
Salt Lake City, Utah.
Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Back to Alamosa.
And then to Denver for the return.
In between, there were many little sidetrips.
And, finally, after a 24 hour flight delay in Washington, we are now back in Kuwait.
We drove 2,257 miles and walked many, many miles during our hikes and wanderings around each new town.
It's good to be back home. We are ready for a regular routine and to eat homemade food again.
I never take a laptop while I am away, so look forward now to catching up with everyone.
Hope you've had a great summer.
Best wishes,

Welcome back Tammy!
Judging from the pictures you got to see many places and I hope you share some stories with us!
What a great trip. I love the big blue bear looking in the windows. Glad you are home safe and sound.
Hugs,
Sharon
Oh, btw, I don't think I ever thanked you for the postcard and hearts. They were very much appreciated and still are. I smile each time I look at the hearts. They are lying on the table beside my chair where I crochet. They make me happy.
Hugs,
Sharon
Welcome back home Tammy-sounds like you had a wonderful trip though-and I know what you mean about homemade food-we rarely go out to eat anymore as I prefer to make our meals.
hope you still have a little off before going back to work
Kathy

I saw on another blog that you are "back." It sounds like you kept busy with travel during your time in the States. It's nice to travel but always good to come back the place we call home.
Hi Tammy! You've been missed my friend. I'm glad you're safely home and it looks as though you had a very exciting trip and saw lots of sites. Maybe sometime we'll even meet up sometime when you're on a trip to the States.
Blessings,
Betsy
I've been here but busy so I haven't blogged either. I received your lovely gift and you are SO creative! I wore the heart and literally felt your spirit and your love. You are very special to me and many others, I know. I think of you every time I use your dish clothes and cherish all your cards (permanently on my frig!) I showed the grands when they were here. I'm glad you got home safe and sound and that you were able to visit with your family and friends. I'll be sending something your way but it might be awhile....you know me...great intentions but I run out of steam! LOL! Thank you again SO much!!!!
Welcome home from your very long and I am certain wonderful trip. You look beautiful dear!
Hello Tammy. So glad you had a good trip. I'm sure your son was happy to see you, too. I was in Colorado last week! Third trip this year. Loved your sweet gift. You are so utterly thoughtful. I sent you a note back to Kuwait. Did you get it? Glad you are home safe and sound. Hugs. Susan
Welcome home, Tammy! :)
Interesting on your driving log because we logged 2,900 miles on our 1 week trip to Colorado from Central Illinois. Quite a lot of driving, I think, and it was all done by Jim.
It's wonderful that you got to spend that much time there. I don't know how that is since we've never had more than a week's vacation at one time, but I honestly can't be away from our cats for that long. They barely do well even just for a week - both are huge babies, very dependent on us, and even though Dad visits them, it's never the same for them, so by the end of 1 week, I'm ready to get back home to them. I'll bet Jingles was sure happy to see you!!
I've enjoyed following along your travels on Instagram.
Kind regards,
Linda
Good to hear you made it home safely. Looks and sounds like you had a great trip. How was Colorado? Love your pictures!
Traveling is wonderful, but coming home after being away for so long is the BEST. You saw a lot of countryside on your trip. Enjoy settling in again.
You have been travelling a lot !! Glad to know you had a nice time. Thanks for sharing the pictures!!
You covered so much Tammy! What a wonderful trip. You were only four and a half hours from me. So excited that you got into the west a bit! I loved every photo!!!

Welcome back, Tammy! What a lovely trip you had. I can imagine that it's nice to have some home cooked food again after lots of restaurant meals during your vacation.
Have a great time back home!
Hugs,
Julia
Oh I love your first photo....stunning. But I must say that bear looking in the window had me laughing out loud.
Sounds like a really nice vacation.
So glad you made it home safely Tammy. I kept up with you on Instagram and your photos were beautiful.

welcome back Tammy.great pictures
Dearest Tammy,
Wow, I'm finally catching up on reading blogs...
First off, thank you so very much for your sweet card in the mail that arrived on Tuesday, last week with the precious crochet heart! You are so very sweet.
On that same day my PC broke down and next day we were driving to Atlanta for having lunch with dear friends.
From our 2½ hour lunch-visit we went straight to the Apple Store for a new Mac and we spent the night at a Hyatt Place. Next day shopping at Costco, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and back home. Not much time for playing around as I had to clean the house and prepare for dinner on Saturday for friends at our home.
But now finally I got some time to install most apps and to start being back in business again...
You sure had a marvelous time again and the bittersweet ending of good time passing way too fast...
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
WOW - what a summer!!!!! XOXO
Brilliant trip my friend. You must be exhausted for all of your adventures. I love that you do so much while you are over here. Also glad you are home safe and sound,
Hugs,
Meredith

The bear made me smile, but I love the swooping entryway to that Hattiesburg Cultural Center!
