A Day in Denver

From New Orleans we flew to Denver to begin our three week road trip with the college boy.  My youngest and I stayed overnight and I must say, we saw more wildlife there than we did the entire week and a half we were in Louisiana and Mississippi.

And this was all just in walking distance of our hotel.
Aurora is a suburb of Denver and is an excellent place to stay if you are in the area.  Close to the airport and downtown, with restaurants within walking distance from the hotels.
We went downtown for lunch but it began to rain so we cut our visit there short.
Denver is always a nice little stopover before all the driving begins.
Next we meet up with my college boy.

Have a great day!

For some reason your blog is one of the ones Bloglovin' will not let me leave comments with. So I headed back to my blog to click on my sidebar and visit you again whew!
My computer is also slow as molasses today.
Technology! (sorry enough complaining out of me promise!)
How lovely to see your Denver photos.
Our son lived in Aurora until he moved to the mountains near Crested Butte.
We enjoyed several visits to the Denver area and there certainly is a lot to see and do.
Great to see all of that wonderful street art...they do a good job there don't they!
We are getting excited about out November trip to CO and NM.
Thanks for sharing Tammy.

I'm glad to see some of Denver. I must admit that I've drive through it several times but never stopped. Always on the way somewhere else. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Thanks for sharing the wonderful wildlife photos, and some glimpses of Denver as well. When you have visited the area have you ever gone to Casa Bonita for their food and family entertainment? It is in the Lakewood district of Denver. http://www.casabonitadenver.com/ I'm enjoying seeing some of what you saw on your travels :) xx

We have an aunt who has lived in Aurora for over 40 years. During that time it has grown so much but I always enjoy visiting. I enjoyed all of your wildlife pictures. There is always something to see if we keep our eyes open. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip.
Blessings,
Betsy

Having only been in the Denver airport I have never visited Colorado and it looks like there are lots of wonderful places to explore. For now I shall enjoy it through your travels.

Tammy -- Graffiti is booming over all of our cities and even some in rural areas. Portland Oregon has some beautiful graffiti on its downtown buildings. Of course for some folks it is a matter of personal preference. Enjoy being with your son -- barbara

Love the birds!!! I've been to Aurora on several occasions for training classes in my "old" occupation. Lots of classes and no sightseeing however. Happy you had a better time!
