Today my youngest started the first day of his last year of high school. I dropped him off and by 7:30 a.m. had parked my car at the mall and headed out for my first walk since returning to Kuwait two weeks ago.
You can see just how hazy it was but as I walked along for an hour and a half, it started to clear off some.
I did realize, however, that until the weather cools down, an hour is about all I can really handle.
This was the temperature on the way home at 3:00 p.m. when I picked my senior boy up from school.
That translates to 122 F folks.
Way too hot for me.
Happy end of month,

Wow...that's hot stuff. You walk looked so nice, and the last year of high school. That great...We have two (grandsons) still in high school and the rest are already out. They grow up so fast.
Time seems to go so fast when it comes to watching our children grow up, our youngest is teaching at the high school he went to starting in a few days. It seems like yesterday when he was there as a student. I can't imagine what the outside temperatures you are experiencing are like. I have spent time in California with my sister where the temp. reached 105 but no higher then that.
Have never had those kind of temps here obviously, but upper 80s and 90s with humidity feel pretty darn hot to us here and that's what we're having right now. Pretty typical for going into September. I expect to use our pool some more before the end of September. Going into Autumn used to be my favorite time of year, but now I find it the saddest time of year until I really get into it. It's just such a quick season here and it goes right into the holiday time and I'm never ready for that and how fast life flies by.
Hope your son has a wonderful school year.
That's really hot!! I cannot walk even in 35 C . I have not been walking these days and the weather here is very good for walking. Just getting lazy :(
I have never been anywhere that hot.. ever. I think I would keel over! Thank heavens you have AC in your car and house! Do you have a back up generator if your electricity goes out? I hope you have lots of nice cool weather this fall and winter. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Congratulations to your son for first day of high school..I'm sure he must be excited.

It got up to 46 degrees in France this year - phew! I felt like a washed out rag on that day!
Auckland has a temperate climate however we've had a brutal winter this year!
Your walk looks interesting and I love the palm trees.
Last year at school, I imagine those years have flown by - will he go to University in the Staes too Tammy?
I imagine your children must have dual citizenship - is that right?
Thanks for popping in to say hell - how's Jingles?

Wow, with that heat I would have been sat indoors right by the AC!!!!!! Not going anywhere. You are a braver woman than I. Great to be going on your walks again with you though! xx
I've spent lots of days in those kinds of temps. Fortunately it only lasts all summer! ;-) I love when we go on walks with you.
I love the picture of the reflecting pool. But if I was there and it was that kind of hot, I'd probably be getting IN the reflecting pool and staying there til sunset, when I would creep home, a pruney little person in oddly drippping clothes.
Dearest Tammy,
That for sure is greenhouse temperature in which we used to pick gherkins til about 11:00 AM and than a cool shower... Wel deserved.
Lovely photos and almost sentimental to think about the last year as a senior at HS.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
