A Lovely Sort of Day

I love Saturdays!
I always feel like I accomplish so much more on a Saturday than I do any other day of the week.
My morning started with coffee and muffins with a friend on her rooftop.
A lovely way to start the day!
Then we headed over to a new yarn shop we recently learned about.
(More on that trip another time.)
For lunch I made two kinds of pasta.
Italian tomato and lemon mushroom.
Served up with olive bread and salad.
Delicious!
Then an afternoon walk with my husband
We didn't even break a sweat so that means the weather is slowly starting to change.  Yes, it's still 110 during the day, but mornings and evenings are getting a little bit cooler.
For dinner I made our favorite lentil & spinach soup with spicy pita chips on the side.
And then I baked up some walnut raisin bread for my boss' birthday tomorrow.
Now it's time to call it a day and hit the hay!
Jingles thinks so, too.
Apparently dishcloths and doilies make for very nice bedding.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

My Saturday has been very productive too, but not nearly as fun as yours! Coffee on the rooftop sounds very soothing, and a visit to the yarn shop?! Couldn't get much better. My daughter has come home for a special dinner tonight, and my husband has just left with instructions to bring home some ingredients for cookie baking later. Glad your evenings at least have cooled down. Rain all day here today, but it's sort of nice to cozy up indoors for once. Jingles looks adorable surrounded by handknit dishcloths ;) Take care ... Hello Tammy, Rooftop breakie sound fabulous to me.. I always love seeing your Palm Trees.. To me they mean warmth and sunshine which is always lacking greatly in our Long Winter Months. I look forward to seeing pics of that new yarn shop. Hugs Judy

It sounds like you've had a full and happy day, Tammy. Even though Saturdays can be busy, if we slow our pace and enjoy everything we're doing, it never seems hectic.

You made me feel hungry with the soup, pasta and bread!

XO,
Jane

Tammy,
The food looks wonderful. It's cold and damp where I'm at. Winter is on its way. 110 degrees sounds good to me.

Jingles has it all figured out!!! Smart kitty!

Your Saturday was productive in many ways....you accomplished so much! Oh, and a new yarn store, too.

Our Saturday was just as productive and even relaxing. Hubby is done working for the summer, so we got our lives back to 'normal'. We're planning a big hike tomorrow to celebrate!

My Saturday is like any other working day since my daughter is now in class VI . She has half day school , so I get up at 5:30 . Everyday I come up with a list to accomplish and by end of the day only10% is achieved. I must add even daily household work to the list then the % would be more.
The yarn shop looks so inviting !! :)

Hi Tammy,

Wow, you are so productive! I also tend to do more on Saturday's but the day always goes by too fast, and by the late afternoon I'm ready for a nap! I admire your energy (and your meals you cooked too!).

Never fails to amuse me where cats like to sleep - clean laundry is a favorite around here!

Glad you had a great day!

Warmly,
Sharon
