After school today, a friend and I headed over to the Sadu House to celebrate
International Crochet Day.
There were many items on display made by a crochet group.
Blankets
Toys and baby items.
Clothes and accessories
And the biggest ball of yarn and hook I ever did see.
We sat and crocheted for awhile and visited with others who were doing the same.
All in all a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
Happy crocheting!

Who knew????????? Well, YOU did and so did all those women who made such beautiful and creative items!
I will celebrate tonight by getting out the afghan that I have been working on and celebrate in my own quiet way.
Cute photo of you, btw!

So many wonderful and creative projects. Oh my gosh, that really IS the biggest yarn !!
Such a great day to celebrate the simple crochet hook and yarn. Lots of inspiration for future projects and stash busting. Blessings dear...
Dearest Tammy,
WOW and again WOW, such a hook and BIG yarn I've never, ever seen!
What is that warning above your last photo: Be careful of your head...
That must be fun to get together with so many women and crochet a variety of pieces!
Hugs,
Mariette
Fantastic to see International Crochet Day celebrated in a land so far away from here... and to think it all started in a little old apple tree on the Ranch up on Deadman Crick! I'm just flabbergasted! Thank you SO much for promoting the Day!

That was a lovely way of spending some time crocheting. Getting to do what you love, all in a day's play is like an icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing. The biggest yarn looks like a rope...ooops... And the hook too. MY! Got to see that such a thing exists.. :)Thanks again for sharing the pics
Happy International Crochet Day! I enjoyed looking through the pictures and the beautiful creations. I, too stopped to admire the chunky yarn because I have put it in my head to create a blanket with such but the day is yet to come :)

I love that you went and investigated a new place where lovely projects were placed all over. I think the work was beautiful, so many different things to look at. A great way to spend the day.

What a wonderful event! You know, the item I liked the best was the good old fashioned granny square blanket with all the different colors! Fun show! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
WOW! All the creations are sooo lovely. Beautiful photos. And a nice "get-together".
When I tried to crochet it always ended up as a total disaster! No talent at all in that area.
I wish you a peaceful weekend!
