St. Patrick's Day Stash Busting

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We don't really celebrate around here and I don't eat corned beef,
but I did have cabbage for dinner.
I like to just boil it a little bit and then drizzle with white vinegar.
One of my favorite meals (though my family totally disagrees).
Sadly I have little to show for stash busting.
Over the weekend I managed to crochet a few shamrocks using this pattern.
Then made a card for a friend using the Irish Blessing graphic on the front and attaching a shamrock to the inside.
I also made another baby washcloth using an organic cotton.
It's a very pretty shade of green though it's not looking that way in the photo.
Linda posted last week that the stash busting challenge was actually mentioned in Let's Knit magazine.  That's pretty cool!
On my to-do list is another bunny.
In fact, I'd like to get several made before Easter rolls around so I'd better hop to it!
Have a great day!

That's a common meal around here Tammy. We love it. Love all what you're doing.

Cute little shamrocks and a pretty washcloth! I love its gentleness. And the cabbage --- would be very popular here --- especially with my husband! I have to always remind myself to make it for him.

Sweet post.

You certainly have been busy with yarn, I love the shamrock and those bunnies are so cute, I need to make a few myself, but am trying to tackle a knitted sweater right,or rather planting, weeding, cleaning and a knitted sweater.
Hugs to you and have a great week,
Meredith

Busy girl.. love the shamrocks! I was give one each by Betsy and Taci, so I don't have to make any myself. LOL! But I think I'll make a few more eggs today - for the grandsons. I wonder if they'll appreciate them? I know the girls do - but boys are a different breed! I can see them flying through the air. LOL!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I love those little shamrocks! We have corned beef and cabbage every year...it's so yummy! I've been crocheting some covers for stones...gosh it's addicting isn't it?

Hi Tammy,
Lovely shamrocks and likewise here, no one in my family would eat that meal, except for me. I did make Corned Beef & Cabbage (with boiled potatoes, carrots and parsnips), but my husband who bought all of that so that Sarah and I could have a meal we like, does not like that meal, so he had fish and chips. :)

Hope you have a great new week. Our spring break countdown is on here - just 2 more weeks, and with it, is my remaining hope that the weather might someday get warm again. Still freezing cold here, though I did take a 4 mile walk today and outside of the strong wind, it wasn't too bad in the 30s.

Take care,
LInda

I really love those shamrocks. They would make great scatter on a holiday tablecloth. We had our corned beef dinner and I have my window shamrock all lit up in the front. :) Kit

Dearest Tammy,
Love the way you prepare your cabbage; healthy! But I had to laugh out loud for you losing 3:1 on it.
The mention in Let's Knit magazine IS cool!
Enjoy your crocheting and hope you manage for Easter to get those bunnies.
Hugs,
Mariette

The shamrocks are very cute but I really like the washcloth. I don't do too well with stash busting because I always seem to need more yarn to complete a project and of course, when I go to the store, yarn is on sale that I just have to have!
Blessings,
Betsy

Love the Irish blessing! And what a great idea to make baby washcloths with cotton. They look so lovely with that pretty pink border

Hi Tammy...I'm not Irish either, Tammy, so it's not a big holiday for me. I'm happy for Irish friends and other people, though.

I did eat some corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. I like cabbage with a little butter and salt and pepper.

Take care. Susan

I love cabbage too. Your card looks professional and the shamrocks are so cute. You're famous now! Published in a magazine...and you really have been stash busting like crazy! Great projects! Take care!

Yum...I love cabbage, either fried or boiled down. Those shamrocks are so cute! With having Irish in our blood, we usually celebrate St Patrick's Day in some small way, even if it's just wearing green all day. This year has probably been the first year that I let it pass unrecognised.
