Weather is much improved today and so is my mood.
Upon reflection, the accident is not as bad as it seemed yesterday.
The boys and I are absolutely fine.
Yes, there is damage to both ends of the car but it's minimal.
My husband has had conversations with the woman and her husband.
Apparently she spoke highly of the way I composed myself.
And my husband has invited her husband to have coffee at his office.
Ha! The irony!
All's well that ends well.
We can't control the actions of others but we can control how we handle ourselves.
There are swarms of butterflies all over the place right now and the birds and kitties are having a field day chasing them around. It's so cute to watch all the acrobatics involved.
I made a pineapple upside down cake using this recipe.
And plan to have another night of happy crochet time.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Glad to hear that everything's ok. :)
So glad your accident was no worse than you described. I can't believe what folks will try to get by with. All the ideas above made me smile. The bunny is so precious. I am making owls for a gs that is going away to college and going to put them into a wall hanging. That is my favorite thing to do in the evenings. The afghans I am making now are keeping my legs warm. So sorry about your friend.

I'm so happy that all is well and the damage is little. Your husbands could end up great friends! Maybe it was meant to be. :-)
The kitties look very engrossed by the bird activities and made me smile. Your cake made my tummy growl it looks so yummy in the picture. Enjoy your yarn time and the tea and cake.
Blessings,
Betsy
Great news - so glad you were not injured. Sometimes composure is difficult in situations where we are not the ones at fault - hats off to you dear!
I've just baked a similar cake - but with apples and raspberries. Teatime will be delicious - wish we could share!
Hugs - Mary
So glad everyone is safe and sound...Love the pictures of your cats they are all so pretty, I always wanted an orange one...have a nice evening of quiet time...
I'm glad the damage was minimal - accidents can be very scary! The pineapple cake looked good.. my sister makes those and places maraschino cherries in the center of the pineapple and whole pecans around the outside of them. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Glad you are all fine and you are right it is how we handle things that make a difference, I can't imagine you handling it anyway but positively. Glad you are getting some crochet time in with your busy week.
Hugs,
Meredith
Glad all is well. I love the photo of the kitties looking up thru the flowers.
I'm happy to hear everyone is alright. Kudos to you and your husband for making the best of it all.
I love the picture of your kitties, they really look like they are enjoying themselves! And your cake looks delicious, one of my husband's favorites!
XO,
Jane
I was sorry to hear of your accident when you blogged about it yesterday. I'm glad everyone is okay. I can tell from your blog that you take time to nurture yourself, which surely helped you keep your composure in a stressful and scary situation. Be safe!
I am so sorry to hear about your accident Tammy. Shame on that woman for doing all that multitasking when she should have been paying attention. I am glad you and the boys are ok.
What a sweet photo of Jingles and your cake looks amazing.
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
Tammy, you are so full of common sense, please come and live next door to me. lol
Today has been one of those frustrating days in many ways and I just know that if you were here you could have saved me from going bang.
So pleased that you are all safe and well after the accident, it shows how each of us never knows what is in store each day.
Whose kitties are they? are they the ferals you feed?
Love Jingles looking all innocent. lol

I'm so glad you are ok and everything ended as well as it could have. The cats are so cute! I love that photo of them all looking up at the camera. Your cake looks so yummy! I could go for a piece right about now.
So pleased there have been no after affects following the accident Tammy and everyone is being friendly haha the cake looks yummy :)
What pretty pics of the kitties and yum, that cake sure looks delectable!

Oh, I LOVE the kitties! Glad to hear everything's ok Tammy. Thanks for the link to the recipe. This is one of my husband's favorite cakes!
What a light-hearted post. Glad things turned around. Butterflies and kitties will do that. :-)
So glad things are so much better today, Tammy.
Love the shot of Jingles and the other kitties, too.
Your pineapple upsidedown cake looks delish. I'd want to leave the little slice and eat the rest! Oh gosh, you stay so slender even though you bake a lot. I can't have yummies like that here cuz I'd want to eat them ALL up.
Hope you have a nice Wednesday. Susan
Jingle is looking very smug there - I'd say he caught a butterfly!
Glad all is okay and you have time to eat cake and crochet something fun.
Enjoy.
Dearest Tammy
Thank goodness!!
Jingles looks like he's happy you're all OK too - in his own sleepy way!
That is ironical - all because you had the presence of mind to be composed - with a few deep breaths to help no doubt!
Do you know we've had the lowest count for butterflies this Summer - isn't that scarey. It's natures sign that we're not doing well on planet earth. Food for thought.
Shane ♥
Me again Tammy!
I meant to say how much I love your sweet little crochet bunny in the previous post (I got so steamed up I'm ashamed to say, I wasn't composed like you Tammy).
Promise to be good from now on!!!!
Shane ♥
So sorry to hear about your accident and so glad that you and your children are OK. Yes, it is important to handle a situation calmly, although it would be hard after someone was on the phone and not paying attention. So glad it all worked out. The pineapple upside down cake looks wonderful!
I'm so glad you and the boys weren't hurt. People just don't take driving seriously, texting, talking on the phone. One day I saw a girl next to me holding a cigarette in one hand, a Coke in the other and talking on the phone and SHIFTING!!! all at the same time!!! I'm glad things are better today. Diane
after the events of the other day-always good to get back to our craft time. I agree in the end it's always how we handle ourselves and the situation that matters-loved the photos
Hi Tammy!
Glad to see you and your boys are ok! Boy, I have been there too, similar situation and yes, we can't control the other person, only ourself. I can picture Sam staying polite and ending up inviting the husband, he is a great man your hubby!
Say hi for me, stay sane and safe ok? All well here on this end, busy with visitors and girls school and a traveling on and off husband, so the usual, right? Take care! Maureen xx
Btw, any cake left for me?! Looks so good!
Love your shots of the day!! looks gorgeous where you are right now. That cake looks scrumptious, too.

Good to hear that you are ok. Cats are so special, I always love watching them. Could you please beam me just 1 piece of your delicious cake?
Magdalena
Hi Tammy,
I'm so glad you're doing better! :)
My attitude against smartphones will always remain though, I detest them.
I love the photos. It looks so warm and inviting.
Happy First Day of Spring! Here it's presently 5 degrees with the wind. Crazy. At least it's sunny with clear skies. ☼
Kind regards,
Linda
Hi Tammy,
Any accident shakes you up a bit so I'm pleased you are OK.
I love pineapple upside down cake and as I take a cake with me every week on my course I've got an excuse to try the recipe.
Keep well and safe,
Angela.xx
Good to hear that everything is ok with you!
Those kittens are sooo sweet. Jingles too of course. ;)
I love "Up-side-down-cake". I often made that for all kind of events in my daughters school. They sold them and did get money for a trips with the class.
Have a wonderful thursday and rest of the week.
Best wishes
Sussie
HI, Tammy!
I didn't know that you got into accident. I hope you and your boys are fine. Be careful!
Your cat is so cute, enjoying the weather.
Have a great day!
Anna
So sorry to hear you had an accident ... how very civil of your husband to invite the other husband for coffee!
Love the kitty photos, and that cake looks delicious. :)
If only all altercations (accidental ones at least) could be handled with such peace and dignity for all involved. You should all be foreign ambassadors!
So relieved you are all okay...that's all that really matters.
Jingles reminds me of myself....I've been dozing in the afternoons! Sitting in a chair and just nodding off...I've heard of this happening to older people but MOI???? LOL!
I love the sweet kitties and the bird and those beautiful shades of pink in the flowers.
Great minds think alike! I just made pineapple upside down cake too! YUMMO!!!! Take care sweetie...so glad you're all okay and so glad I get to visit with you! You're a gift to all of us!
Sorry to hear about your accident. It's against the law here to use your phone while driving , I also think its the same for drinking. It's so silly to do either of those things in charge of a huge piece of machinery! I'm glad you're all ok.
Love the kitty photo.
I'm catching up with your posts, Tammy, I'm glad to hear you and the boys are okay...I will have to read your previous post to get the details after I comment here.
It was very nice that your hubby invited the other lady's hubby for coffee at the office. It made me think of the time when we were just kids. Another driver had given my Dad a rude finger so Dad chased him down. The guy pulled over, Dad pulled in behind, still very angry, and walked over to give the guy a piece of his mind. Next thing we know, they are both shaking hands, chatting, and laughing....then my Dad brings him back to the car to meet us and he apologised for the rude gesture. Why the change of heart from anger to friendliness? The guy was Irish just like my Dad so that made everything alright. LOL
I'm so glad to hear that you and your boys are save and all will be ok. It would have been hard to compose yourself in this situation I know I would have found it hard it seems that because of that the situation turned out much better than it could have. I'm glad today has been a better day. x
