Tea on Tuesday: Sharing is Caring

Mona knows how much I love her rice pudding so, after breakfast yesterday, she sent me home with two small containers of it.  I enjoyed a small bowl along with a cup of Tetley Earl Grey tea and then my kids polished off the rest.

Mona is a very creative person.  She paints and sews, knits and crochets, does embroidery and cross-stitch.  This crocheted table cover was my Christmas gift.

For her, I whipped up three doilies to match the colors in her living room.

We are enjoying our days together but they are whizzing by so fast.

When just being together is more important than what you do, you are with a friend.

I'm joining Kimmie at Art in Red Wagons for tea today.  Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday.

I love how you "just whipped up" those doilies :) ... And your friend Mona would probably say the same about the table cover! Beautiful lacy things all crafted by hand - it amazes me! Your rice pudding looks tasty on a chilly day and earl gray tea would go so well with that bit of sweetness! Enjoy the rest of your friendly visiting - I know you are savoring every moment!!

Dearest Tammy,

Sounds like you two are kindred spirits and than time is passing way too fast. So much to share, so much to do. Rice pudding is great, that is a very fond Dutch dessert and I used to make large volumes so my brother could take it home while at the University. He was in heaven with it. Even Pieter's daughter Liz did remember that I used to make that a lot... Great memories with rice pudding for you make people happy!
Love to you,

Mariette

Mona's table cover is beautiful. I am sure you will be trying something similar very soon. Your doilies came out lovely, and I am sure she will think of you often when she looks at them. How very nice that the two of you are getting some nice time to catch up with each other. She looks exactly the same as she did a few years ago. Good to know that some things don't change!!

XOXO
Renee
