On Our First Day of Winter Break ...

I ate too much homemade toffee. A gift from a friend, along with a handmade tag.
We downloaded a free iPad app for Jingles called Cat Fishing. They say that "the colors, movement and game-play have been researched and tested for maximum feline fun." But Jingles was not interested at all. She would much rather watch what is going on outside.
We went to lunch at PF Chang's.

Then to the plant souk. I spent a couple of hours cleaning up our two balconies and repotting plants.

And I finally got around to making Christmas Ring Wreath Ornaments using the pattern on Doni's blog Whiskers & Wool.  They work up really quick!

One of my very good friends is coming in tonight from Lebanon with her two boys. Can't wait to see them tomorrow.

I hope your holiday weekend is filled with all things merry and bright!

Oh your post brought back a great memory! My Mom used to make those wreaths and we wore them like a brooch on our coats. So fun to see they are still being made! Kit

I love the fact that Jingles was not at all interested in modern technology. :) Have fun during the holidays!

So glad you can now enjoy some relaxation - playing in the soil is very therapeutic I find.

Isn't it funny how babies and animals ignore the things we want them to play with!!!

Love how the wreathes turned out - I downloaded the instructions too - wish you were here to teach me how to crochet!!

Enjoy the time with your friend dear Tammy.

Jingles might be more interested on a cloudy, birdless day. Your little wreaths are sweet Tammy, and the handmade tag is pretty - I love the writing on it. Merry Christmas, enjoy your company. Diane

'tis the season to eat too many goodies! I just have to laugh and Jingles... kind of like the kid's that have more fun playing with the box instead of the expensive toy.

Wishing you and your beautiful family a very Merry Christmas, sweet friend.

Enjoy your time with your friend.

Got to see first hand your adorable wreaths. I saw on Youtube an iguana playing an ant crushing game. He would actually hit the ants with his tongue....and he was pretty good at it too. Looks like Jingles wants the real thing. It was great seeing you and Mona tonight. Have a very Merry Holiday tomorrow and see you after tomorrow!

Peace and Blessings!

Merry Christmas my friend.
I still have the ornament wreath u gave in back in kuwait, it is hanging next to all your cross stitch frames in my breakfast corner in the kitchen. When friends come here, they wonder why i have such a mismatched house, so i reply: these are all gifts from my friends, and i want to see them, my concept of what matches and mixes is different, all gifts of friends just match and mix in my house!
Happy new year to you and your family, and hope u will visit Lebanon too!!
Love always

Hi Tammy...I don't know if I've told you before but your wreaths look like ones my Nana used to tat. She also made ice skates too and used paper clips for the blades!
