Shine On

The sun was nowhere to be found this morning but the moon was big and beautiful.

I am lighting a candle again tonight, this time in remembrance of our much loved furbabies. Mary at Vintage Comfort posted on Saturday that her sweet dog Kona had passed away. He was 10 years old and had diabetes.

Our pets certainly do become a big part of our family.

I will light a candle for Kona and for all the homeless, abandoned and abused animals.

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.

I have loved & adored my fur-babies past & present. I can't fathom how anyone could mistreat them. When I hear of an abuse case I cringe & weep & seethe almost at the same time. How can such cruelties exhist???
I for one LOVE by babies!!
Happy Holidays !

Losing furpersons or dogkids is so difficult! It's been 18 months since I lost my Bichon Friese and I frequently think of her, as well as Shadow and Peaches (furpersons) who died several months before Latte. It brings tears to my eyes just to think about them.

What a touching post. Our fur-babies become such an important part of our lives. I still remember the heart break from the passing of my first dog, "Roscoe". Since then each of the boy's had dogs that have now passed to dog heaven along with my basset, Bailey and cat, Luke Skywalker.

Please support your local animal rescue organizations at this time of year.

Our pets are certainly family members and sadly missed when they pass. When I saw a video the other night about some rescued dogs who had never seen the light of day, it was so very sad to see them so timid to step out onto the ground, it broke my heart! Rescue places deserve all our help.

It makes me sad, to know that someone (that I don't know) lost their pet (that I also didn't know). They are out babies...

Just look at that Jingles, will you. Saying, "Oh brother. Here comes another picture. All right. Snap it, Mama."

SOOOOO adorable.

I know the day will come when Honey Cat will die but I cannot bear to think about it. Susan

You are so right about our pets being family members. My Bichon Dulee thinks he is head of the family and maybe he is!

You live so far away but we share the same moon. Ck. out my blog & look behind my son-in-law & g'son -- the same moon. I'm smart enough to know that's true but it still amazes me. Jan

A beautiful idea, Tammy! The abused animals of this world could sure use our prayers and support. xo

Tammy thank you for doing this for our boy and for us. Today is a particularly hard day for me, missing Kona. Thank you also for feeding the precious kittys there in your area. I do pray for them often. Your pics of them just break my heart <3

What a lovely post Tammy. Pets really do become a very necessary part of our lives. Wild Thing puts a smile on our faces every day, especially the husand's (surprise, huh??) Keep taking care of those kitties of yours. You are making their lives just a bit nicer with your food and affection.

Have a wonderful Friday!!

Renee
