Wednesday Wisdom

Behind all creation is silence. Silence is the essential condition, the vital ingredient for all creation and all that is created. It is a power in its own right. The artist starts with a blank canvas – silence. The composer places it between and behind the notes. The very ground of your being, out of which comes all your thoughts, is silence. The way to silence is through meditation. When you arrive in your own silence you will know true freedom and real power. Stop, take a minute, and listen to the silence within you today. Then be aware of what disturbs your inner silence. It could be negative thoughts, memories, sensations. And when you are aware, you will know what is draining your creative power, and you will know what needs to change…on the inside!Relax7.com

I definitely don't experience enough silence as I'd like to, Tammy. How to get it in this busy, noisy world?

Hope your day is wonderful today. Susan

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for sharing the beautiful post.
Silence is such a wonderful thing and what we need to experience a lot more of, in this busy world.

Happy week

Hi Tammy,
Silence is GOLDEN! :)I love when it is quiet especially when I'm in my craftroom-either crafting or reading my bible. Being silent...and still. Hearing the Lord speak to me through His Word. I am thankful.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Sonya

That's what I love about meditating...it teaches me to focus on the peace and stillness in silence.

Enjoy a beautiful day!

Its all about the choices we make don't you think?
How we choose to start the day ,how we deal with problems etc..
I like the early morning, Peace, Prayer, Positive thinking..
Have a great day :))

I certainly agree with you. In today's society is far too little time for silence and reflection.
One time I told my husband: listen to the silence. We stood at a very still lake and it took a while before he understood what I meant. It was so healing to sit there and be completely silent.
I think all the sounds around us makes us stressed in an unhealthy way. We need more silence... :)

Right now we have it pretty quiet here at home because our TV is broken since sunday! ;)

I hope you´re enjoying your day to the fullest! HUGS Susan

Soaking up some much needed silence right now, lol. Silence is nourishment for the soul, definitely. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. Tidying is indeed a vicious cycle. Some days I don't know if I am the hamster or the wheel, haha. Have a beautiful day ~ Heidi

I adore Silence, but I too don't experience it often enough. Sometimes driving to and from work, I simply turn off the radio and listen to nothing, hoping to hear from God during that time instead. I also used to love when both my husband and daughter were away for a weekend and I was by myself, because it meant I could just bask in the silence.
