Tea on Tuesday

Have you tried rooibos tea? It does take some getting used to, but yesterday I found this Twinings Strawberry & Vanilla Rooibos and its quite tasty. Rooibos or redbush is an herbal tea that is only grown in the African highlands.
Various
studies have shown the many health problems that can be helped by drinking this tea on a regular basis:
•Can be used to treat hay fever, asthma and eczema
•Placed directly on the skin, it can slow the aging process
•Boosts the immune system
•Eases irritability, headaches, nervous tension and insomnia
•Acts as an anti-spasmodic agent, to relieve stomach cramps and colic in infants
•Contains no oxalic acid, so people who are prone to kidney stones can safely consume it

I have an awful headache at the moment so am hoping it will help. I'm off to pick Zack up from baseball. Make your way to Kimmie's place at Art in Red Wagons where she is hosting Tea on Tuesday and having a giveaway too. Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Perhaps I should try this tea, too. I've had a headache brewing for days and it finally got the best of me at 2am. Still groggy.
So, let's have a cuppa and toast to each other from miles away. It can't hurt!

Feel better soon my friend!

Jan

PS...the house is cleaned and the laundry done. We're back to normal and liking it. Back to hiking tomorrow, but today is car washing and cleaning day. Ech, it's nasty!

Dearest Tammy,

Yes, this Rooibos tea we did buy in The Netherlands a couple of years ago already after I read about it in a magazine. I like it and it has many antioxidants that are beneficial. Hope indeed that your head got cleared up. It might be from barometric pressure, weather-changes often cause this.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Gosh Tammy, that sounds like pretty good tea. I drink a lot of green tea with other flavored teas mixed in (to kill the taste...ha ha) , like peach and raspberry. Rooibos is supposed to be good for us, too. Take care. Susan

I've never tried it, but will have to look for it at the store next time I to. I'm actually enjoying a cup of Chai tea now. I was sorry to read the news about your aunt, I imagine it is hard to be so far away at times like that. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I hope the tea helps your headache. I can sympathize, not fun to say the least. I used to be a coffee only drinker but as I've gotten older tea is a close second, actually sometimes a first pick. Take care, feel better.

I hope your headache is gone by now. I get those too ... Advil first .... If that doesn't work I have to go lay down. I don't think any kind of tea would help mine, but luckily I don't get them toooo often.

I love the rooibus tea as long as it has flavors and spices in it. My oldest daughter loves it and drinks it every morning on the way to school. It's good because it has no caffeine!

Happy Tuesday! And thanks for playing! Kimmie

THAT TEA SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD, HOPE YOUR HEADACHE GOES AWAY AND YOU FEEL BETTER. WHEN I DON'T FEEL WELL I LOVE DRINKING CHAMOMILE TEA, I LOVE EARL GREY TOO. THEY SAY THERE IS MORE CAFFEINE IN REGULAR TEA THEN COFFEE. ITS HARD TO BELIEVE, A NICE CUP OF HOT TEA MAKES ME FEEL GOOD
AND SO RELAXED. RIZZI

I adore Rooibos tea. The Twinings blend sounds interesting. It's amazing how theraputic tea is. I gave up coffee about a year ago and drink a variety of tea through out the day. Coffee just didn't taste good anymore. I'm still amazed at how much better I feel, in general. Hope your headache is gone. Headaches are the pits. oxo

Tea is my favorite drink. I really like all kinds. I have tried that kind before. I think the kind I had was sort of fruit/honey blend. It was nice.

Hope your headache goes away fast. I don't get them very often but when I do, it's usually a several day event.

Blessings.

Nothing like a cup of tea to calm the spirit.
Thanks for coming by and as for the symbol thing...it was a different font so some computers may not process it. I changed it. Thanks for letting me know.
Blessings ;-)
