Same Place, Different Faces

Today was a beautiful sunshiney day with blue skies and a temp around 80.

This little crocheted decorative pillow was inspired by my surroundings.

I was treated to a late birthday lunch with a few friends (one did not want to be photographed).

We went to Zahr El Laymoun, the same restaurant I took Leslie to last Saturday.

This time we ordered a traditional Lebanese mezza of homous, taboulleh, spicy potatoes, fatoush, halloumi spring rolls ...

baba ghanoush and sauteed liver (which I steered clear of). That's Melissa's hands grabbing for the liver.

Fresh lemonade with mint is tasty and refreshing on a hot day.

My 15 year old informed me that we are seeing a Super Moon in the sky these days. Apparently this only occurs every 18 years when the moon is closer to the earth and appears bigger and brighter than ever. Unfortunately, my little digital camera doesn't take very good night pictures.

Hope you are having a bright and beautiful day in your little corner of the world. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

We are planning on looking at the super-moon tonight, too. Last night was kinda hazy.

Liver!!!! Awk.....reminds me of a kid when I was forced to eat it. ech.

Have a great day. Your friends and you all look so content and happy. Great photo.
OH, and great music as usual Tammy. Makes me want to hang around, but we're going for a hike. Just came back from the Hot Springs pool.

Hugs,
Jan

as always...great food...I love it when you go out to lunch!!:) Hope the nice weather stays for a while...and I know you are fast asleep now...but hope you enjoyed the moon!

Hi Tammy....The lunch looked great except for the you-know-what....LIVER. Yuk. Why anyone would want to eat an organ that cleanses the body of toxins is perplexing to me. Anyway, so nice you got to spend some time with your friends. Sincerely, Susan

Hi Tammy,
Every lunch you show us looks delicious.
I missed the moon last night. We had a clear day only to get cloud cover after dark.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Hugs, Angela.

Hi Tammy,
Just think of all the people all over the world that turned their faces up to look at that beautiful moon. You have such a wonderful blog! I enjoy it so much! Have a great week!

Hey Girl,
Found your card sitting on my night stand asking "Why did you forget me?" Don't be surprised if you see it under your door one day when you get home from work. Going out meeting up with you guys is just what I needed. Always fun and relaxing. I missed the moon.....waaaahhhhh. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it tonight. My apologies for grossing people out with my liver, but it was good....mmmmm.

Nice food and friends. Lovely time, I'm sure. Yes the moon was beautiful last night. We had some clouds but I was still able to see it well through the haze. Took some shots with my little camera, not perfect but O.K. (actually it looks like the moon!)

I love seeing your smiling faces with the girls. Tell Karen that next time, there is a certain lady in Doha who would like her to be in the picture. As for Elena, I still cannot get used to seeing her without her blond hair. Melissa, looks wonderful as always. I miss you guys!!
Glad you were able to get together with the girls for a nice lunch. Everything looks great. I love that you find these great little restaurants around town. Too many chains and run of the mill places. This restaurant looks wonderful.
Have a great day!!

Renee
