Many Flags, One Heart

That was the slogan for our school's International Day Festival held yesterday. Booths were decorated to reflect the culture and tradition of the many countries represented by our student and staff population. Please sit back and enjoy an armchair tour of the world.

America

The Bahamas

Canada

Ecuador

Egypt

Indonesia

Iran

Kuwait

Lebanon

Palestine

Syria

The Phillipines

Spain

Sweden

Sudan

Leslie and I got our hands painted with henna at the Sudan booth.

I'm tuckered out after all that travelling. Hope all is well in your little corner of the world. Peace & Blessings, Tammy

Fantastic!!
I had to laugh at the igloo of Canada, because that's a sore spot for my Canadian family (because it's such a stereotype). They laugh everyone thinks Canada is all about Igloos and such and yet, it's not like that at all in the areas where our family lives, lol.
Anyway.... looks like they did an awesome job with the booths. Very interesting. :)
Have a wonderful weekend. We're off now until the 5th.

Wow, one stop shopping (or rather vacationing) in your little corner of the world. What an eclectic grouping of cultures! And henna tattoo's, too!

You truly live in an awe inspiring place Tammy. And I love that you love it.....it shows in all your posts.

Warm hugs
Jan

What a very wonderful day for the kids and staff alike at school. It is so obvious how much fun the kids had showing off their "native countries". I love that the school has days like this to educate everyone on what the world has to offer in terms of culture and tradition. The henna painting looks like fun. Is it not amazing how quickly and skillfully they can paint with the henna? Hope the boys had fun!

Love,
Renee
