Back to Life

I still find it quite amazing how one can spend several glorious days in another country and then next thing you know, it's BACK TO REALITY!

No more breakfast ...

with a view ...

In Colombo, we stayed at the Hilton Residence.

And in Pussellawa, we stayed at The Lavender House where breakfast was served on the back terrace.

Set menus were offered with several options to choose from. Breakfast was ordered the night before.

We were certainly spoiled but what a great way to start the day!

Our first day back went way too fast -- school/work, grocery shopping, baseball practice, cooking, washing (the laundry is no longer a mountain, but still a hill to climb).

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday! Friendship blessings, Tammy

Dearest Tammy,

Not only breakfast à la carte but you got great food for the soul as well! Lovely surroundings and of course great climate.
That does lift on up and thus we tackle whatever mountain/hill of laundry. Tomorrow I'm also tackling my laundry hill... Even if one stays home it piles up fast.

Lots of love,

Mariette

A delicious looking breakfast and beautiful view. Great memories made although it certainly doesn't take long for reality to set back in. Reece found the same thing after arriving home from their trip to Thailand last year. :)

Hi Tammy,

Gosh - the trip sounds wonderful. We have to work so hard to survive and when we finally get a chance to go away, it feels like heaven.

I missed sending you birthday wishes and know that you had a great one.

And yes, pet overpopulation is a globabl problem. The awareness is being raised but too slowly. It's a soap box I preach from regularly (along with a lot of others he-he).

I miss Pumpking be she's doing fine at Laura's. I keep taking in cats because they're homeless and 6 is just way too many! It's already easier being down to 2 litter boxes instead of 3. I really hate litter boxes.

Have a great day!
