Hello again! I'm hooking up today with Martha for her 7th Tea Cup Tuesday . Martha is quite the collector and has so many lovely things to show. I shared a story with her some time back of being in the grocery store, seeing someone and thinking to myself "that looks just like Martha." Of course, I had to remind myself that it couldn't be because Martha is in California and I'm in Kuwait. See what I mean about feeling that you know people even when you've never met face-to- face.

This sweet angel cup was given to me several years ago by a friend.
Some of you may consider it a coffee cup but I drink my coffee from a huge Starbucks mug. This little cup is dainty and perfect for a hot cup of tea. (It would not hold enough morning coffee for me.)
I only drink green tea and these are my favorites at the moment.
And this is usually what I have as a snack with my green tea ...
We can sit in this cozy living room and enjoy a chat.
Love the casual and comfortable look of this room. I showed you the CottageStyle magazine yesterday. Certain images remind me of certain people. My cousin Gwen at A Charming Home is fixing up her guest room and one wall is purple so this made me think of her.
Speaking of purple, my friend Susana makes these fabulous tea towels with fruit inspired teapots.
The cluster of grapes next to it was made by the Trash to Treasures program at the Phillipino Women's Shelter -- they use old magazines and flyers to make the most wonderful ornaments, decorations and jewelry. I'll show you the jewelry tomorrow. The program gives these ladies something purposeful to do with their time while they are waiting to leave the shelter.

Hi chicky!
Thanks for the email, it brightened my day. I am feeling more up today. I recently bought the same magazne title, but my issue looks different. I too love it!! I am planning on posting it sometime this week. I love the towel your friend made, and the little grape cluster is so sweet. How nice someone gave you that angel cup...after all you are an angel. right! Ha! no I mean it:)
Love,
Gwen
Your tea cup is very cute. I love that green chai tea too and also the After 8 mints. Yummy.
The tea towel and cluster of grapes are both so pretty. That's an interesting story behind the cluster of grapes.
Sweet cup, Tammy. I've been drinking a lot of green tea for its antioxidant qualities and also because I read it helps speed up metabolism. I mix it with raspberry or peach tea, though, as I don't care for the taste of only green tea. Take care and hope you have a good night. Sincerely, Susan
That cup is soooooo cute.......I can see it filled with some French Roast (for me) and some Green Chai (for you). And now I will HAVE to go and get the Cottage Style magazine so that I can fully see all the wonders inside it! Love the colored walls...my bedroom as a child was purple, too! Soothing!
Thanks for a lovely post and have sweet dreams!
Hugs,
Jan
I think your angel cup is so sweet! Your green chai tea looks fab too. Those After Eight mints are delicious, I can't get them here in NC, but I used to have them in Canada. Perfect with tea.
Hugs,
Terri
What sweet things to share, Tammy! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
I go through phases as far as tea goes. I used to be addicted to chai...now it's Vanilla Chamomile...yummm! Love your tea pot and tea mug...simple, yet elegant with a hint of whimsy.
have a wonderful day Tammy in desert land.

Tammy: You joined us. I am so happy. Your tea cup is adorable. You put a big smile on my face today. Thank you! I hope you can play next week. It is easy to get hooked. Blessings dear friend. Hugs, Martha
I could do teacup tuesday for years and never post the same one twice...I have soooo many...love them all. Yours is adorable. Hugs my friend. xoxo
What a sweet tea cup and a charming post for Tea on Tuesday!!
Debbie
Hi Tammy,
I love visiting your part of the world. I had to catch up on you doings, Gotta tell ya the black beans looked really good! Is it hard for you to get magazines? I take it for granted that I can walk into B&N anytime & pick up issues the day they come out. Your Tea Tuesday post was really cute too. Lisa
always nice to have tea with you!
Tea with friends... What a wonderful thought. I drink tea a lot during the winter, as it is one of the few things that makes me warm when my body can't warm up. Were you talking about the Starbucks mug from San Antonio?? I LOVE my Starbucks Kuwait mugs that I carted home from Kuwait when we moved back. I think I broke a few of them, but they are my coffee mugs here at home, and I put them to good use for sure.
We are having a very dreary week here in San Antonio this week. Rain in the forecast every single day. No sun to be seen. BOO!! I've used the time to clean a bit and take care of things indoors. No walking this week. Maybe that is why my mood is off...
Love the look of the living room pictures you found. I don't think a thing could bother you while sitting in such a comfortable, homey room.
Love the grapes made by the women at the shelter. What a great idea!
Hope your Tuesday was a good one!
Love,
Renee
I think it is a lovely tea cup Tammy....and I love the purple tea towel too...enjoy your tea.
Thanks for sharing your tea time things. With all the lovely tea cups I have I usually drink mine out of a favorite mug too. That is a cute one with the angel on it.
I use an over sized Starbucks mug too!!! Nothing beats it...pretty little teacups are fun to look at but I LOVe how the big mug feels in my hands :)
P.S. Save me a mint :)
I don't drink tea very often...it makes me thirsty. I know, weird. But I do like hot cocoa...I love your angel cup...and I adore tea pots...thank you for the sweet post!
I love your whimsical tea cup! I love cups. If I had lots of extra cupboard space I would have all kinds of different cups. You take really good pictures, Tammy. They are always so good. Blessings, Conny
You are involved in the most wonderful, inspiring things! Such a blessing.
All of the items are lovely. I actually rarely drink coffee and if I do happen to have any in the morning it only equals about 1/4 cup. But... I love all sorts of tea and my tea cups are large like coffee cups as well. Daughter Sarah has loved tea as well since she was a toddler and she makes it the same way I do with a touch of honey, lemon and sweetness. :)
Hope you have a blessed weekend,
Linda
Hi Tammy,
I'm a coffee drinker. Some day, I might "discover" tea, but I'd love to sit and chat with you in that cozy living room!!! :)
Have a sweet day,
Zuzu
Dear Tammy,,
i'm so glad to see you too have joined martha and terri for tea cup tuesday. Isn't is such a fun appointment? Plus I have a thing for teasets and orphaned collector's teacups that this appointment is exactly "my cup of tea" LOL.
Hope I do not run out of cups too soon otherwise I'll have to get more...
love your tea cup and teapot. so sweet. and those tea towels your friend susana made for you are adorable. what a sweet, generous and crafty friend you have. on the other hand couldn't be any diifferent with a sweetpea like you.
My biggest regret is not being able to visit you as often as I used to do. I'm so busy and mainly exhausted lately that all I dream of when dinner is over and the table cleared is go to bed for a nice rest. I've realized that I barely find the time to post once a week. what a pity...
You are always in my heart and prayers so, until my next visit dear Tammy, wish you a fab and blessed weekend!
hugs
rita
Just found you through Gwen's blog. Your post cracked me up because I can soooo relate. No dainty cup for my morning coffee because I don't want to keep sleep walking to refil it!
Have a great weekend!
Hi, Tammy,
I would love to join you for a cup of tea and some chocolate mints! The little angel cup is very sweet. I am with you, I need a big cup for my morning coffee. Can't really get the day started without that coffee. I hope you have a great weekend. Love and blessings~Vicki
