There's a crochet for peace cal (crochet-along) taking place on Instagram with a new pattern being released every Sunday for 9 weeks.
The peace sign was the first one posted 3 Sundays ago. I wasn't sure if I was going to join the cal but decided to give it a go today (even though color changes are not my favorite thing to do)
It wasn't too bad. Wish I had used different yarn but I just grabbed what I had on hand that I thought might work.
Now the question is, will I give the other two patterns a go (one is mosaic crochet and the other is tapestry) before the next one is released this coming Sunday?

I think it looks lovely! Mosaic is so much fun to do, and so easy since you only work on row at a time, just dc and sc, tapestry is super easy as well since you just carry your yarn under the working thread, it makes a really nice back, so does the mosaic. I hope you work them up so we can see them. Can you share the CAL info, if allowed? Wishing you a lovely day full of many blessings. :)
I'd use the same yarn and make the others--fascinating pattern.
Nice work!
I love your peace sign! All we are saying. . . is give peace a chance!
I love this!! I think the colors are fine together. What person who was a teenager in the 70s (me lol) wouldn't like that for what it is, ya know! Very cool!
That looks wonderful Tammy and goodness knows, this world could use every bit of peace we can muster up. I shake my head and stress about the anger and hatred that seems to be spreading everywhere. What kind of world are we leaving for our grandchildren? I think we all need to crochet a 10 foot square like yours and hang it from our house, apt., whatever, and then live like we mean it.
End of rant. Sorry my friend. I'm a worrier and this world has me very worried.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
It's lovely I think you should try them all, mosaic crochet is my favourite the possibilities are endless. Have a great weekend. x
It turned out great! I haven't done anything in the Ukrainian colors yet. We were big on that peace sign when I was a teenager. I think the younger generation is now taking up the cause....good for them! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see the next ones! I like Betsy's idea too.
Tammy - I don't do crochet, but I will look forward to seeing your results!
Dearest Tammy,
Love your color selection for this peace sign; so meaningful!
Hugs,
Mariette
