Saturday Crafting

Hello everyone!
Hope you are well.
As usual, it's been awhile.
This morning was the regular meet-up of my craft group, Kuwait Crafters.  We meet every other Saturday at a different location.
There's always some show-n-tell to begin.
Then the crocheting and knitting and cross-stitching commences.
Sometimes there's also something sweet to be shared.
Vegan red velvet cupcakes made by Rene and they were scrumptious.

One member of the group recently returned from Egypt so we all got a little gift.
I was also informed that this is Star Wars Day, so this photo that I took at Dubai Mall when we were there in March comes in handy after all.
May the Fourth be with you.

Your group meetings to craft sound like loads of fun. I really love those cute little mittens or perhaps hand warmers! I wish there were something like this here, although I don't sew or crochet, I thin anything creative deserves company. As always, love your captures in photos!

Dearest Tammy,
It always amazes me what women's hands can create! Well, are there any men that crochet or knit...?
Lovely items and it must be a great way for getting together once in a while.
Today is Liberation Day in The Netherlands and here they celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Sending you blessings and as you've noticed, I'm still at my writing history about those early mushroom growing pioneers.
History is important and it ought to be preserved.
As I just in mid March had finally managed to put all of my scanned info in different Files by subject and period, I got approached by a Dutch history writer. He's written for the government about military history etc. A serious person with some great publications under his belt. He had a few questions for Pieter. He was literally amazed at how much information we had and could just hand him in no time. There is no coincidence in life, everything happens for a reason.
His book ought to be ready in May and he got all he needed for writing about the early rise of horticulture in my Province, after WWII when the coal mines had closed. Would you believe he is from my home town and lived only one street away?!
So you know that I have spent lots of time in passing information on to this writer as I value the importance of writing history. How did certain crops come about, who were the early pioneers. Most already have passed on but we must remember their valuable time and efforts.
Hugs,
Mariette

Tammy - glad to hear your craft group is still meeting regularly. I have held four gatherings with a few faithful attendees. I suppose it may take a while to get some momentum! The red velvet cakes do appeal to my sweet tooth!
