Flowers for You

I only have to walk a few blocks to find a variety of gorgeous flowers thanks to neighbors that garden.
I saw a dragonfly, moth and two types of butterflies but none of them would sit still for very long.
Bees might be busy but they are much easier to capture because they have a one track mind.
A little ways up the road and there's a lovely row of sunflowers that continue to bloom with each passing day.
They are certainly a bright spot along the way.
I took the pedestrian bridge up and over the highway so I could do some grocery shopping and get in a little walking.
Left a little heart behind;
and then found a heart-shaped rock on the other side.
Happy Mother's Day and Sunday blessings!

Oh I love your sunflower photographs - and the bees! I look forward to hearing that constant hum in my perennial gardens just a couple of months from now. Usually the bee balm and anise hyssop are equally enticing to the bees and the hummingbirds. The hummingbirds appeared last week, so the feeder is already up. But the bees are wisely biding their time. It was only in the 30s this morning!

Dearest Tammy,
Wow, for such paradise like colors one would always want to walk!
It is food for the soul...
How neat for crossing such a pedestrian bridge and being able to shop on foot!
Big hugs and hope you had a special day too.

Tammy, these are gorgeous photos. The flowers are stunning. We have lots and lots of yellowjackets flying around here this spring. An overabundance of them and they terrify me as I have become allergic to their stings over the years.
I think it's very appropriate that you gave a heart away only to find a new one. Happy Mother's Day my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy

Your flower photos are so beautiful. You really have an uncanny ability to capture nature. And the bridge is awesome---I have to admit, I'm a little nervous on them and overpasses. :(

I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day, and thank you so much for your warm words about Milo.

Beautiful flower photos, Tammy. I'm glad you found somewhere to hang one of your crocheted hearts on the walk-way over the road. I'm sure people will stop after climbing those steps, take a breather and enjoy seeing the heart. I'm glad you found the heart-shaped stone. How special! I hope that you had a lovely Mother's Day.

Dear Tammy,
Oh, that's nice - one heart for the other! :-) The colorful flowers and the buzzing bees, which you show today, please my heart! Here it's still cold and rainy - quite important for nature after a very warm and dry April - but they say that the weather should become springlike again on weekend! :-)

Tammy - given the urban environment in which you live, it must be truly delightful to find these spots of color. And the bees are right to have a one-track mind - make honey while the sun shines! I am not the least bit surprised that you should find a rock heart after you left one of yours on the bridge - what goes around, comes around! Belated Happy Mother's Day to you!

Hi Tammy, I think I love the sunflowers, but I'll celebrate mother's day. The beautiful heart head you left behind in your place removed another, a wonderful stone.

Enjoy those beautiful flowers while it is still cool enough out. I have a few but know their time is running out as the heat sets in. Wishing you a wonderful weekend Tammy.

I love your flower photos - delightful and inspiring!

How would a wheelchair user get over / across the highway? Lately I have been thinking hard about accessible neighbourhoods. I do like the ornamentation of the bridge though. You must be super fit to manage all those stairs and then again with a load of groceries.

Your heart-shaped rock is truly a blessing. x
