Gloomy Weather

A cloudy day calls for a crocheted cloud coaster, don't you think?
(Pattern can be found here.)
We've not seen the sun in over a week now.
The skies have mostly been filled with dust but for the past couple of days there's also been clouds in the mix.
It tries to rain but just sprinkles and splatters everything that is already covered in dust.
The good thing is that the temperature has been a bit cooler during the day.
So I decided to put on my walking shoes and go for a wander.
First to the park where I left a heart.
And then around the neighborhood.
Back at home, I was so surprised to spy this one little gardenia bloom from a bush that's not done so well since last summer.
It's aroma is truly delightful.

I hope you all had a blessed Easter.
Wishes for a wonderful week.

We've had lots of clouds and yuck lately too. It's pouring this morning...but it's NOT snow! We were blessed with gorgeous sunshine for Easter Sunday though. I love the gardenia blossom. I can almost smell it from here.
Blessings,
Betsy

It's cloudy here too after a good rain...maybe there's more coming. I love the cloud coaster and I want to make some for my grands as we are all weather geeks and like nothing more than a good storm of any kind as long as no one or property gets hurt.
I love the heart on the bench....yours is hanging where I can see it and I think of you every time I look at it along with your wash cloths! Gardenia do have a wonderful smell and lucky you! Jingles looks so cute in his bunny ears but not sure he thinks so! LOL!

I'm sorry for your loss of sun, but happy for your cooler temps.. I hope you get a good rain storm to wash the dust away on the plants. OH.. there is nothing more wonderful than the aroma of a gardenia! Lucky you! Your Easter kitty cracked me up. I love seeing your flowers there. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The cloud coaster is cute! It's very hot over here and is only going to get worse in the coming days. Love's Jingles' photo.

I love the smell of Gardenias. Of course we don't have those here, but we do have clouds and dreary weather for at least 6 months out of the year, so I feel like we deserve the nice days we've been enjoying here lately this spring. It's warm and glorious - been hovering around 80 for days and I love that with believe-it-or-not - NO wind, which I especially enjoy. No kidding - I actually record the entirely calm days on my wall calendar because we get so few of those here in the flatlands of Central Illinois. At any rate, we're having a nice long, warm spring here and I'm happy. I even took an extra day off work today just because I wanted to finish up the latest yard work here at our house and next door at my parents. Finally got the entire dump-truck load size of potting soil moved from our driveway to all of the gardens - that was heavy, back-breaking work but I do surprisingly well I guess because of all of my intense power walking and running, which I also started the day with and got all of the lawn fertilzer down (to get rid of the few dandelions).

Hope you have a great week and that the dusty cloudy weather leaves.
Linda

Ha Ha your kitty made me laugh
at first I thought cloudy days would be nice for you-not so hot-but then the thought of dust on everything I would not like that.
I love always the photos from your walks
Did you end up making soap? I love the cloud coaster Have a good week

We get that kind of rain here too and we've had it a couple of times recently, so my car looks like heck right now. I really need to take it to the carwash. I guess that's one nice thing about living in the desert...nobody wants you to wash your car yourself because it wastes so much water, so you have no choice but to take it to the carwash instead! :)

Hi Tammy. I love your crocheted creations. Still have your heart that you sent me, although I'm not sure if it is called crochet or knitted. So glad your gardenia bloomed. Their fragrance truly is celestial. Susan

Jingles doesn't look too impressed with her Bunny Crown. Your crocheted cloud coaster is very appropriate for your weather. Now if you could crochet some rain to wash away all that dust... Lovely wandering dear. <3

Dearest Tammy,
You are mischievous by giving Jingles bunny ears. She must by now also know how to crochet as she watches you do stitch after stitch. At times I would want to believe that our felines do know a LOT.
Love that white bougainvillea in the photo.
Oh my, the dreaded dust is coming again your way...
We have had sunny days but we need rain desperately.
Easter came and went, we had a lovely time with our best friends.
Each did do part of the dinner with three couples and it was delicious.
This Saturday I host a dinner for friends and on the 6th of May we already have to perform with our choir at the local theatre twice for about 600 people each performance. Will feel so happy on the 7th. LOVE to sing but practicing takes a lot of time and commitment.
Hugs,
Mariette

Yep, we too have to make do with only one car but I've put it completely behind us. Pieter made a mistake but it could have affected people; like you said - it's only a car! Life goes on and every day is full of little miracles to look forward to.

Loving the rain here in California.... hoping the drought is over... I laughed at the cat with the bunny ears.... partly because I crocheted a beanie hat for one of my cats today. Yep, she wasn't to thrilled with it. Totally cracked me up though :-)big hugs, Cheryl

Cloudy days are perfect crafting days! Love the little cloud coaster, and your bunny ears! Ha ha! Your cat does not look amused, but maybe he's smiling inside. Enjoy your week Tammy :)

Tammy - sorry your weather has been less than desirable. Yesterday we had a very quick thunderstorm - it really came down for about 15 minutes. The cats were hiding in the closet, of course - they don't like the thunder! Afterwards, the sun came out and you could hear everything sprouting as our spring continues. So many shades of green!

We have the gray with lots of April showers that have us mired in mud instead of surrounded by dust, but our family had a good Easter celebration. I am so pleased you have a Gardenia to enjoy...my favorite flower! xx
