Out and About With My Colorado Boy

While my son had his teeth cleaned this morning, I sat and talked with a former co-worker who just happened to be at the dentist's office; then spent the rest of my waiting time crocheting hearts.
We then did some birthday shopping for my husband who turned 58 today; and picked up some cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery for the occasion.
We enjoyed lunch at a Lebanese restaurant.
Then got home and took a walk together.
Since he will be leaving in a week, I've got to get as much time with my boy as I can.
Our sweet neighbors sent over roses and Arabic coffee to wish my husband a happy birthday (and I, of course, sent cupcakes over to them).

Wonderful Wednesday Wishes,

Oh it is so bittersweet when our kids get older and are in between home and their new adult life. You are right to get as much time in as you can. It goes much too fast.
I hope the next week is filled with special memories you make together.

Happy Birthday to your hubby! And, yes.... enjoy every moment with your son. =) I knitted in the dentist office this week waiting on my grandson. LOL! I love the way that though miles and countries apart... still we knitter/crocheters are very much the same. We love our families... and fill every little extra moment with creating with our hands. ;) blessings and hugs ~ tanna

Great that you were all together for the birthday celebration - sending Happy Birthday wishes to hubby!
Lovely bakery - know that visit was fun.
How quickly time flies Tammy. Was looking at the boys in your photos from a few years back - little boys are now young men out in the world and fending for themselves as they study hard. Know you are so proud of their accomplishments - I wish them a great year ahead.

Love and hugs and all the best for a great New Year

A lovely day in the neighborhood. Love the bakery, and the apron hooks. I have a apron collection. That last picture is so exquisite.
