Everything's Coming Up Roses

This morning I stitched up a quick little rose as a gift for a friend.
Which reminded me of all the beautiful roses we saw while in Amman, Jordan earlier this month.
Jordan has a much milder climate than Kuwait.  It was cool while we were there and everything was in bloom.
Roses aren't common here, though I know they can be found in some private gardens.
But really, it is just way too hot for much of the year.
So you can imagine how lovely it was to see so many roses in so many different colors and sizes.
There is simply the rose;
it is perfect in every moment of its existence.

In memory of many, in honor of all ...
Have a blessed Memorial Day.

The roses are so beautiful. Thank goodness for natures way of reminding us to pause and notice. The rose you made is very pretty. The frame complicated your work nicely. I love handmade gifts. Hope you have a good week.

Oh how I bet you loved all those roses! I love them too. Our roses bloomed and are now bereft of blossoms.. hopefully there will be more buds coming on. Enjoy your week ahead. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

So beautiful photos from Jordan. Magnific roses. And a lovely little stitched gift
for your friend.

I was about to be a citizen of Jordan...
Special and exciting memories I carry with me all my life.
I do NOT like this climate here in Sweden.

But I do like my new familymember. I adopted him from an
animal shelter. His former owner was addicted to drugs and
had too many animals. 7 dogs and four Bengals. The other two Bengal cats
were very dominant towards him and the small dogs annoyed him from what they
told us. So Tarzan is a little afraid and nervous. I hope love and security will
help him to be more brave and just like a Bengal should be: A playing
and active friend.

Hope Jingles is doing just fine. Hope to see him on the blog soon again. :)

Sunshine wishes
Sussie.

Lovely roses! Yes, they do really thrive and love those hot summery days. Mine are just glorious right now. Your little rose stitching is pretty. Makes me think about one that I have hanging on the wall of our bedroom - I made it back when I did such things over 30 years ago in my youth and it's of a pink rose with green leaves and perfectly matches the rose stenciled border in our bedroom that I did many years ago as well. I was just looking at the rose stitching the other day and contemplating how many years have passed since I made it, so coincidentally, I come here and read your post and read about your rose stitching. :)

Just coming back to work here today after my long 4 day weekend, but it makes it more tolerable knowing that I only have these few days and another weekend and only 1 more full week in June before a couple of trip adventures and more time off.

Have a great week!
Linda

Dearest Tammy,
What a perfect post in memory of so many deserving men and women.
Oh, we sure enjoy roses any time they are in front of us. Here in Georgia it is too hot as well and our soil is so poor, plus competing with huge trees.
You always show us life's beauty and I only wish that more people would find those little miracles around them.
LOVE your embroidered rose! A perfect and meaningful gift in that cute little frame.
Hugs and blessings,
Mariette
