From Wednesday to Wonderful

On Wednesday I spent 3 hours cleaning both my balconies.
The weather is changing and I want to be able to enjoy sitting outside as much as possible.
My friend, Melissa, over the years has always teased me that when I clean my balconies, there's bound to be a dust storm.  We even joked about it Wednesday evening.
So when I got up Thursday morning to a rather darkish day, I said to my husband, there seems to be fog.
To which he replied, "Are you crazy?  That's not fog, that's dust.
Sure enough, Melissa's prediction rang true once again.  But fortunately, a light rain shower appeared in the afternoon that cleared the air and the weather has been absolutely beautiful ever since.
I've spent the past two mornings out there with coffee, crochet and magazines.
With company, of course,
Melissa even joined me today.
We have this thing of giving each other smile themed gifts so rather ironic today that she brought me a smile pillow and I gave her a smile bracelet.
Sending smiles your way and wishes for a wonderful weekend.

Wow your balconies are lush with beautiful green plants. I can easily see why you enjoy sitting outside. Those darned sand storms are so tricky. At least you got some rain following the sand. Jingles looks happy. Smiles are all inclusive! Lovely crochet dear...

Your balcony, with all the plants is so pretty, Tammy. That must be nice to sit out there. Oh my gosh, though, that dust would wig me out. Susan

My girls used to play this game called bad things turn into good things. Perfect for this post. Your balconies are beautiful, especially with that gorgeous Jingles. Diane

Dearest Tammy,
Oh no when one cleans that hard and long and gets a dust storm that is awful.
You have lots of healthy looking plants on the balcony and they appear to be rather large ones too.
In Italy we had only two tiny balconies, one out of the kitchen and one out of the living room.
Enjoy time on it together with Jingles.
Hugs,
Mariette

Hi Tammy
I love the idea of the smile exchange, smiling makes so much difference doesn't it?
I recently bought the book 'Peace is Every Step' after reading one of your posts, what a lovely book, it is so inspiring.
On a different subject, how old is Jingles now, he looks in such good shape and I always love to see pictures of him.

I'm so glad that in the midst of your challenging weather you can enjoy crocheting and reading in the garden oasis on your balcony from time to time, and often share smiles with friends, Tammy :) We are getting some rain today, which should help our front pond get filled again. Progress! xx

Those sandstorms would make a real mess to clean up, I imagine. Glad that it went away quickly and you're enjoying good weather. I like all the plants you have.

You have created such a cozy, green paradise on your balconies Tammy. It would be a treat to sit and crochet with you there. I'm sure Jingles loves that you join him there. Your dust looks like the smoke we had here a few mo the ago. I know! Happy smiling. What wonderful gifts smiles make. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy

Glad the rain cleared the airand gave you a lovely place to sit and relax. My days of sitting outside are pretty over unless I wear a jacket and carry an umbrella....LOL But I am loving the falling leaves and cool temps. Have a great week! :) Kit

Your balconies look so relaxing and inviting. Too funny about the dust storm but glad the rain sorted it out. :)
