These pretty teatowels with machine embroidered designs were another purchase I made while in Cochem, Germany.
And with my purchase, the owner of the shop gave me this little cross-stitched napkin for free because there are a few ink stains on the opposite side. I am sure I can find something to do with it.
In another little shop, I bought this tablecover that is made of embroidered squares trimmed in crochet.
All of these lovely linens made me want to stitch away the day, so that is exactly how I spent the last few days of my summer holiday. Cross-stitching ...
and crocheting.
But today it was back to school. Construction over the summer meant that the return was very chaotic. A new office that I now have to share with a co-worker will be quite an adjustment.
Several hours of cleaning this afternoon and now it is time to call it a night.
Have a wonderful day and a great new week!

What lovely finds....Tammy....you are so very fortunate to live and work in another country ...it does allow you to travel relatively easily to other countries......and you can share your lovely finds with us.

Beautiful treasures to remind you of your fun trip. Glad your first day back to school wasn't too horrible. I wish it was still summer.
Hugs to you,

Dearest Tammy,
You should try the trick for the ink stains by spraying them with hair spray, then laundering them. I've done that always successful when Pieter had ink stains in his shirt pockets. Often by the pressure on the plane it happened. No problem.
You got yourself some real pretty things in Germany. It is my favorite country for buying lots of things. When I worked as a consultant in the Bremen area, I always visited my favorite handwork store. They have the best assortment!
Guess you start your new school year freshly energized. Good luck.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Nice purchases to brighten your home. Love the pretty tea towels.
Gorgeous crosses you have been stitching.
Enjoy the new year at school.
It went fast, but you were able to travel and embroider and see some friends who came to visit. So you've been able to pack it full of fun.
I'm happy you were able to have such a successful summer. And had beer in Germany. THAT's important!
Hugs

What a great way of ending your vacation. The bags with the embroidered letters are so cute. Lucky recipients for sure!
Good luck back to work. Enjoy!

Oh goodness Tammy you reeled me into this post with all the pretty linens- one of my weaknesses!!! So pretty!
Thank you for your comment about the color orange.

Your tea towels are amazing. They reminded me of my grandmother who always wanted to have neat and beautiful (embroidered ) tea towels !
It sounds like the perfect way to end your Summer holiday Tammy, cross stitch and crochet:) I hope that your first week back at school is a good one:)
Those tea towels are adorable! Back to school - amazing that August is drawing closed this week. How can that be?
I hope your first week back is a good one Tammy!

Hi Tammy,
Love the tea towels.
I hope you have a wonderful new school year!
Here begins our 2nd week of high school, but on the university campus, only the first week of school. Since we're still involved in summerlike activities, we are reminded that summer as a season continues here for one more month... but for all practical purposes, fall has begun.
Hope you have a great week.
Love, Linda
lovely linens...good luck with your new roomie! We are battening down the hatches. School for kids is optional today and canceled tomorrow due to Hurricane Issac but I'm going in to work. Good luck this week!
Hope the chaos clears up quickly for you. The embroidery is lovely, and I really like the little piece with the pink flowers. Have a great week!
Pretty finds you brought home from vacation. Hope things get into a peaceful routine for you at work. Heather
Love your stitching and all your treasures that you picked up on your trip.
Blessings always
Such pretty purchases Tammy - and your own stitchery is adorable!
School started back here today - and Bob always goes to our granddaughter Jasmin's former elementary school (she's now in her sophomore year of HS) to help direct the traffic on the first day. I think he really goes to flirt with the teachers who all love him, ha!ha!
Hope you settle comfortably into your new office.
Happy school year!
Hugs - Mary
The linens in Europe are so gorgeous and the cross stitch she gave you is precious. Yours is very nice too! You've gotten a lot done this Summer. You should be proud of yourself..beautiful items and so many are gifts for others. The last one in the picture about friendship is wonderful. Enjoy all your pretty things.
