Weekend Happenings

We tried a new restaurant yesterday ... at least new to us.

Turns out we were the first customers for lunch.

There used to be a small outdoor cafe on this spot but now it is two restaurants -- The Noodle House and Johnny Carino's. This was the view from our window. Just down that walkway in the distance is a play area for kids. We used to take the boys there when they were little.

I started my meal off with a prawn curry laksa that was delicious!

We enjoyed nice weather and blue skies. It didn't feel like it was 100 degrees out there.

Jingles was happy to do a bit of sunbathing.

And with a bit of watering and nicer weather, my moss roses are blooming again.

I hope all is bright and beautiful in your corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

You eat interesting things that I've never heard of :) Beautiful view and day - I would love 90-100 degrees right about now. Thankfully, even though yes - it is raining AGAIN today and that along the riverbends here - no one needs that rain - it is in the 70s today and we are gradually warming up to May temperatures. Even though the weather forecasters keep reminding us that 68 is the normal temperature for this time of year here.

The moss roses are beautiful.

Here, it is simply Spring. I'm hoping to get the remainder of my planters done this weekend, as the garden is already planted and growing. Probably hosting a Mother's Day cookout tomorrow.

Hope you have a lovely Mother's Day, but then I'm remembering that you already had this day there. :)

Hi Tammy,
Now I'm hungry! :) The prawn curry looks deliscious. I love your moss rose. And your beautiful weather. It is raining...again. But I should be thankful. Jingles looks thrilled to be outside.
I hope your Mother's Day was wonderful (already) :)
Hugs,
Sonya

The restaurant looks lovely and the food sounds great. And with a great view! Who could ask for more at lunch.

We too are now experiencing 100 degree weather. I am trying to keep my flowers alive for a few more weeks. Eventually only the toughest will survive the summer.

Just have to accept that I will never have a lush garden in my back yard but we do have green grass all summer thanks to the flood irrigation available in our older historic district.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day with your boys and DH. Enjoy the blue skys!

Bless you for being able to tolerate that heat! Anything over 70 degrees and I'm uncomfortable. The food at that restaurant looks delicious, and the view was spectacular!
Happy Mother's Day!

Looks like a wonderful day! The Noodle House looks yummy. I love the picnic style table inside. The food looks amazing. I still remember the time we went out for Thai food together. My first time eating Thai, and it was great.
Weather is HOT here too. The last few days have been TOO much. It was all I could do to sit in the shade watching swim practice yesterday. Good to know that at least Jingles is enjoying the sunshine and heat!!!

Have a great Sunday!!

Love,
Renee
