A Relaxing Afternoon

Work is busy. And there is always housework. But after bringing the kids home from school today, I went to visit my friend Shereen.

Her home is relaxing and inviting.

And everything she does is so beautifully presented. From the sambousa with tamarind sauce ...

to egg salad sandwiches ...

and lemon cake for dessert.

She also had pretty embroidered linens to share. They are handmade by ladies in India for charity so, of course, I had to buy a few.

These lovely little packages were just for me.

A little box with mother of pearl lid and lovely sandalwood incense.

I hope your day is filled with relaxing moments and the pleasures of friendship. Peace & Blessings, Tammy

How nice to have such a special friend who does things so beautifully. I'm sure you truly feel like a welcome guest. Diane
P.S. What's the difference in time there? If it's 12 noon here what is it there?

Hi Tammy,
What a dear & sweet friend you have in Shereen! I read on your profile that you live in Kuwait. My dear friend's family is from Kuwait and they make trips there every year!

I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your caring and heartfelt words you left for me on my blog. Your thoughts and prayers for my dear Mom mean more to me than you will ever know.
Love and Blessings,
Carol Anne xoxo

You can tell that she is a thoughtful person. Everything looks so pretty and delicate. Love the linens! They remind me of some my late grandma left, and some I got last year with Christmas embroidery.
have a great, hopefully less busy, day! :o)

Wow! We actually have Martha Stewart's twin in Kuwait. Your pictures looked like something directly from out of a magazine. Does she have kids? Kudos to her if she did as I know mine would of had those lovely items in the first picture probally on the floor and half broken...lol! Glad you got some R&R. Who needs to go to a spa when you have friends like her...you are very lucky:)

What a nice way to spend the afternoon. My hat is off to anyone who presents everything so nicely. My food usually tastes pretty good, but my presentation is not worth sharing... I am glad you got to enjoy the company of a good friend after a long day of work and busy moments. Hope you followed the afternoon with some quiet time full of crochet, cross stitching and creativity!!

Love you,
Renee
