Day One: Delhi

Our trip to India began in Delhi where we stayed at The Claridges.

It was a beautiful hotel found near Embassy Row, The Parliament Building and India Gate.

The grounds were lovely ...

with the cutest little chipmunks running all over the place.

And a door man who always greeted us with a smile.

This was the magnificent hallway to our hotel room ...

which had a wonderful view of the pool area.

We were walking distance ...

from the very spot where Ghandi was killed.

A museum was erected on the site to honor his life. And although we didn't have time to go through the entire museum;

what we did see was quite beautiful ...

The life of Ghandi was truly amazing!

He was an inspiration to so many then and now.

Wishing you an amazing day!
(Part Two, Day One tomorrow)
Peace & blessings, Tammy

Oh Tammy. Ghandi was such an admirable, filled-with-love man. I think the movie "Ghandi" was one of the best I've ever seen. How wonderful you saw even some of the museum in his honor. If we could each be even 1/1600th of this man,it would be a better world.

What wonderful pictures. I imagined India looking a lot like the pictures you showed us yesterday. The beauty of the hotel was outstanding. What a nice way to start your trip to be reminded of a man who's life was dedicated to living simply, and world peace. NICE!!
Looking forward to tomorrow!!

Hi Tammy,

Your blog is wonderful! I love hearing all about other parts of the world and your hand-crafts and food ideas are a real treat too.

Gandhi was an amazing man who did make a difference. The movie was inspiring.

Btw, I blog-hopped over here from Carmelina's blog.

Cheers,
Serena
