Creative Inspiration

As the title suggests, crafty inspiration is definitely what I need right about now since the most I've managed this past week is weaving in the ends on this granny square blanket.
My craft group is still meeting every other Saturday which is the only social activity I'm involved in these days.  September 12th was International Crochet Day so some of the crocheters of the group had a special meet-up for that.

We had a very nice view of the sunset from the coffee shop where we sat.
I made 19 colorful doilies to take along with me as gifts for everyone who showed up.
One craft friend secretly took two and later showed me that she had single crocheted them together and added a handle to store her prayer beads in.  A great idea -- but if I had done that, I would have had to create double the doilies.  I'm definitely keeping it in mind for future doily making.
As the weekend is approaching, Rosie wishes you a restful one.
Take care.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone's beautiful crochet. Your doilies are spectacular with all of the color popping so brightly. I'm glad you have this group to craft with. So much fun when you're all together. Thanks for sharing all of the projects with us.
Blessings,
Betsy

First of all I love the picture of Rosie...I miss our cats. We always had a couple of cats and them grandchildren came along and has really bad allergies. We had to make a decision. Not too hard..haha. We did find homes for Figgy and Mananna.

The colors and designs of all the beautiful crochet works is amazing. I love that you shared a picture of your group of ladies. How special to see all their sweet faces.

My faorite is the Sail boat...with the ocean in the background. I do love the ocean and anything that goes along with it.

What a nice Post today...Thanks. Hugs

I'm so glad to see cozy Rosie :) Has she completely recovered from the mysterious leg swelling? I've been thinking about her.
Your big colorful afghan is a cheery site! Your crafting get-togethers always look like such a lovely time, and there's so much variation in projects. Inspiring!

I think it's very cool you all get together and stitch. Love your colorful granny. It's been ages since I've made one. Perhaps I need to pull out my hook and do that; though I still have too many WIP going. I've just not been in the mood of late. Not sure why. It's fun seeing all the projects.

Tammy - how sweet of you to give gifts to your crafting group! It may be selfish, but I have a hard enough time just getting my real projects done! We have had a craft gathering at my house recently, and only two of us were doing any crafting. But that's OK - it is enough for me that we get together and stay connected!

I've popped in so often; but haven't always left a new comment. Seems you're no longer blogging? Hope things are ok with you. If you get back to it, please stop by for a visit so I know and can add you back to the blog list. Take Care.
