You Know What They Say

 ... about best laid plans.
I don't know why I say I'll do this or that on a daily basis because it usually never pans out.

Blog every day -- hasn't happened.
Walk every day -- sometimes weather does not permit.
Craft every day -- depends on mood.

And, well, the 30-day yoga challenge for this month had to be put on hold because of the pain in my right wrist -- my dominant hand.
As you can see by the photos, today was super foggy and overcast, but I did walk two separate times.  And the sun did set in a colorful way before the fog took over again.
I think I need to accept that I much prefer to go with the flow and fly by the seat of my pants.  :)
Currently reading my third book of this new year.  It's an easy read with some interesting statistics.  Obviously, not for everyone, since climate change seems to be a controversial subject, but I can't seem to read pure fiction anymore.  Feel like if I'm reading I should be broadening the mind.
Hope all is well where you are.
Have a good weekend.

Dearest Tammy,
Well, even crafting depends (at least for me!) greatly on the daylight by sunshine. On dreary days it is impossible to do.
Walking, biking and everything depends on the weather!
That is something what human beings never ever will manage to control.
Mother Nature is still very much in control of it and the endless energy inside Mother Earth that at times erupts with volcanic activity.
Whatever books they publish—nothing compares to the impact from such eruptions and it shows clearly that humans are NOT in control.
Pollution can be downsized in many ways and we ought to be respectful of keeping things clean and livable for humans and creatures.
But often the wrong people are reading such books... those that need to change never bother!
But we do what we can and that's it!
We have a sunny day and that makes all the difference.
Pieter is planting the last fiberglass window box from our bay window with yellow pansies. They all had to come off the wall before Renewal by Andersen came to put the new windows in.
Pansies look so happy and give joy at breakfast time already!
Big hugs,
Mariette

Tammy - sometimes, we try to be something we are not, and it just doesn't work. When I retired, I wanted to be less of a perfectionist, less structured. Well, it works with some things but not others. I am learning to be at peace with it. More than anything, I have learned that I stress myself more trying to change myself into someone I am NOT!!! Thanks for the mention of the book - I am volunteering with a climate advocacy organization called Citizens' Climate Lobby and am always interested in new books on the topic. Stay well, my friend!

I hope you don't feel discouraged, Tammy - you do so much, and so much good! And everybody's different. Some people really need the structure of a schedule, but if a person is happier in a freeform kind of style, well, why not enjoy that? Personally, I'm starting to think that as long as I am in *some* kind of motion every day, it's a "win." :)

I like what you stated Tammy - "go with the flow, and flying by the seat of your pants." I'm practicing similar as I'm tired of trying to be a perfectionist - it's wearing me out! I have trouble stitching on overcast/dark days - books are my go to then and, like you, I enjoy learning something new from what I read.
