Autumn Hello

 hello friends!

doing okay in these trying and tumultous times?

don't think anyone can deny that there's a lot going on, a lot to think about.

my laptop keyboard is on the fritz so i'm using the on-screen keyboard, one click at a time :( forgive my lack of caps and the fact that i've not been around to visit.

just wanted to pop in on this last day september to wish you a happy autumn.  i participated in an instagram art collage challenge for the month so thought i'd share that with you.  these were the prompts (some of which i combined on the same page):

still not use to the blogger update and it is even more frustrating without a working keyboard.

take care everyone!

stay safe, stay sane,

Dearest Tammy,
Loved your collage, you are always very good at that!
Yes, it is tough working from a touch screen keyboard and never mind, you showed up here and that is great.
Hope you are feeling better since the loss of sweet Ginger.
My tiny Tiggy-Tiger girl is sitting here with me as I type...
It is so hard to let any of our furry family members go!
Life is not very predictable but we manage to enjoy some little things and are looking forward to some special trips, will post about that later.
For now, I've lined up several posts that Pieter enjoys reliving.
In the old blogger, photos uploaded for each post, do show in the sideline. NOT when uploaded in the new blogger. WHY?!
We are constantly being forced to undergo changes that we did never ask for...
Big hug to you and keep walking and enjoying the little miracles of life!
Mariette

Even with the computer challenges, it was really good to have you stop in and say hello. You have been missed here in blogland! I love all of your creative endeavors. The prompts were perfect for September.
Life is indeed challenging right now and we could all use some hope.
Blessings,
Betsy

Glad you didn't give up as it's aways good to see your blog. I'm finally OK with the new blogger, but it did take time, frustration and amost tears. Hang in there. Soon it will become normal.

You need to get a new keyboard! I use my laptop for my blogging.. can't imagine doing it on my iPad. You sure have been doing a lot of art and crafting, good for you. I've missed seeing your blog pop to the top of my list. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hi Tammy,
I love the collage format you provided - beautiful. Happy Autumn to you, even though Autumn there is entirely different from Autumn here. It's now chilly out though we are supposed to return to a nice warmer period of weather in the next week and I'm looking forward to that.

Despite Covid, etc., our retirement life here has been pretty much a normal year minus the occasional worries of the times. I don't spend much time worrying about things that I can't control though and leave that to God to handle. I am very much of the belief that we shouldn't live in fear and need to just keep going with living so that's what we've done here all summer long without issues. We've entertained guests at our house all summer/early fall long - always just one or two at a time, and we enjoy our outdoor party space in order to do so, though sometimes we host dinners indoors at our home. We are comfortable here where we can manage who comes and goes and NOT comfortable dining indoors out at restaurants and still avoid all of that for the most part, except for the times where we've gone to our favorite vineyards and again, that's all outdoors so no worries about that. The exercise path behind our house is my closest friend and I've seen the same people out there for all of the months of the pandemic and still none of us or anyone we know knows of anyone with Covid, so that remains a bit of a mystery. Of course, we live in a rural area downstate Illinois away from Chicago - so things are entirely different here.

Anyways - onto living. October will be a rough month as my Dad has developed some health issues and the cancer word is a possibility right now and of course he's almost 95 so it remains to be seen what will occur. So, for the next couple of weeks, there are doctor visits that will likely result in more doctor visits, so yeah - we will very much be out there, living as normal.
Hope your October goes well,
Linda

Tammy - so glad to see a post from you. It looks like you found a fabulous outlet in September - the quote about "opening a space in your mind and creativity will fill it" definitely applies to you! The last couple of weeks have been challenging on the family front, and it has taken force of will to stay calm. At those times, I seek out nature or crafts for restoration! Stay well, my friend!

Great post, Tammy. Love all the collages you completed.

Sorry about the laptop keyboard. Not sure if you know but you can buy external keyboards for laptops where you just plug it in to the USB port or even use them with Bluetooth without needing to plug them in. The system should automatically install required drivers if you don't have a CD tray on your laptop. I use an external number keypad for my Surface laptop as I don't like using the numbers along the top of my laptop's keyboard design. Love it! Good luck!

Enjoy your week. xo

That looks like a fun art challenge! I've been terrible about keeping up with my art journal.

Hope you can get a new keyboard or laptop soon!
