Tuesday's Drawings and Scenes from Sofia

On Tuesday Aruna and I got together again for another drawing date.
And just as with craft group, we are always looking for new places to try.
This time we went to Rite Cafe located in The Cube Mall.
I drew inspiration from a photo taken while walking the streets of Sofia, Bulgaria on Monday, August 12th.
Since there are very few flowering plants during the summer in Kuwait, it was nice to be surrounded by so many colorful blooms in Sofia.
I also really enjoyed the architecture there and took way too many pictures of buildings.
Will share more next time.
Happy Thursday!

I"m glad you got to go on another drawing date at the cafe. You certainly have lots more cafes there than we do here in Spokane. Your drawing is so pretty. And, you went on another adventure too! Those buildings surely are interesting. I like the bold vertical lines of some of the buildings. And lots of flowers. You can tell it's the end of summer here as the blooms are beginning to fade and wilt.
Blessings,
Betsy

Are you now in Bulgaria?

Are you in Bulgaria or are the pictures just from there? I can't keep up with you! LOL! Your drawing is so good. Is that a palm tree growing inside? Fascinating....I love traveling with you.

Oh, my goodness, you have the most beautiful flowers everywhere! You have so many creative talents, and I think sketching is right up there. Are these hibiscus flowers? I grew up sketching anything and everything. Not sure what happened. Maybe I should give it a shot again. It was always relaxing and really absorbed my mind! :)

What a lovely place! It is nice that you get to visit all these different places. I can see why you were enthralled with the buildings. Very unusual. :) Kit

I enjoyed the flowery theme of this post - isn't that building (last photograph) a pleasant sight!

I love your posts at cafes with your talented friends. I was wondering what they call those flowers like in your drawing. We have very similar ones here and they are called "Rose of Sharon" - they look very much like Hibiscus. I love all the buildings and especially the one with huge flowers painted on. Delightful! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Dearest Tammy,
So happy for you having been to Sofia, Bulgaria. We did not make it to the capital but no doubt you enjoyed its architecture and the many flowers.
Your drawing is excellent and resembles very much your photo by which you got inspired.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
