Summertime Blues

In all honesty, I do tend to get a bit blue during the hot months of summer.
Temperatures have already reached 120 F (and some say much hotter), so we are often cooped up inside.  But today, I felt the need to walk, even if I could only manage 10 minutes or so.
It was such a clear today, and surprisingly, despite what the thermometer read, there was even a nice breeze which made being outside quite pleasant.
This disk was definitely going round and round due to solar power.
Blue sky and blue sea always make me happier.
As does spending time in nature.
And crocheting outdoors.

Hope you are having a great summer so far.

Oh.. that heat must suck the air right out of your lungs! I admire you for the 10 minute walk, tho! I enjoy seeing your ocean.. surely that must offer some relief from the heat? I enjoy seeing your hearts and love how you leave them for other's to discover and enjoy. I bet you wonder where they end up in the world? I hope you get some cooling breezes soon.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Your scenes are gorgeous, even if it is that hot!

Hi Tammy! I'm just getting back into blogging and you're in my list of blogs I follow! The photos are all beautiful, but I can certainly understand staying inside with the heat you're dealing with. I'll be stopping by often!

I’m not a big fan of the heat and it has been hot here too. Not as hot as your area but sticky, yucky hot. We wait till the sun starts to set for our daily walk. The good thing about that time is listening to the cicadas. Hope you continue to find shady places to crochet.

As I grow older and more climacteric I guess, I , a summer, sun-loving child am at a point where I cannot stand the heat, which here can get above 45 C. I pray for coolness....

Your photos show the beauty of being by the sea although I can imagine that it must be very hot and any breeze will be refreshing during a walk. Have a good week!

That heat is insane. I'd be cooped up, too. Starting tomorrow, we're climbing into the mid-90's and by Friday it's supposed to be 100 with a heat index of 110, so everyone is freaking out. I was going to go to an art fair, but I've changed my mind, lol. I am so thankful we have working AC in our house - cuz that's where I'll be. ;-)

Tammy - I cannot imagine that sort of heat, even though we lived in Arizona for a period of time. I could not be cooped up for long periods of time - as you know, I am an outdoor nut. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some sea breezes.

It looks so beautiful out but I know it has to be very hot. Wishing you a wonderful day Tammy.

I cannot even imagine that intense heat. It would make me blue to stay indoors all the time, too. Glad you were able to get out and about for a little walk.
