Meandering Monday

Today I meandered through our neighborhood before heading to the walking path to do a few rounds.
So much more to see while wandering like these lovely pinwheel marigolds.
And busy bees wherever I go.
A true case of urban gardening at this corner house where veges and tomatoes were planted to disguise the electric box.
A cozy kitty.
Wildflowers.
The most beautiful gift of nature is that it gives one pleasure to look around and try to comprehend what we see.
Albert Einstein
Nature with her wealth of birds and flowers,
Has in her heart a place for every weed;
For her quick eyes require no microscope
To note the varied wonders and delights
That the Creator's humblest works possess.
Martha Lavinia Hoffman, "Nature"
Have a great week!

That’s a lot of bees! We have very little animal life, except a few birds flying around right now. Definitely no bees to be found! I love the monarch butterfly. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing some flowers and spring time with us today Tammy. Blessings, Betsy

It's so nice to see flowers and 'summer' when we don't have any here....but I don't miss the heat! LOL!

It does my heart good to see you out and about in the pleasant weather. You're lucky to have the flowers and butterflies now.. we're having such cold weather! Thanks for sharing your summery images with those of us stuck inside.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

What an interesting walk today Tammy.
Love the tomatoes planted to hide the box - also providing food for the table.
And you met a sweet pussycat - I bet you had a little chat!

Wonderful :) So nice to see someplace warm, with gardens, right now, in the middle of our cold drab winter. That cozy cat looks like my cat "Baby". He tolerates few others and is really just my cat.

I love all those bee pictures :) Last summer I couldn't get a picture of a squash blossom without at least one bee on it, and sometimes two or three. But one thing I've also noticed is how many bits of web-type thread show up on all the flowers - not sure if it is all from spiders or if it's something else? When I enlarge pictures on my laptop screen to draw or paint from them, there are almost always little bits of thread-like webbing on the flowers, no matter how tiny. I did see a little white spider that appeared to be living in the center of a zinnia flower.., at least I think it was a spider. Gosh, my ignorance of insects and spiders is really showing!!

I love urban gardens tucked wherever they might fit. The bees like them, too. What a lovely walk.

Dearest Tammy,
Such a sunny and uplifting post was this to read!
Your photos are a feast for the eye and especially for us here, still looking at brown lawns and dreary bare trees in winter.
Enjoy all the butterflies and blossoms with bees.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

I like the crocheted heart. No doubt you got inspiration for the colours when on your walk. It's good to look with fresh eyes at our surroundings and appreciate nature.

Dear Tammy, thank yoiu for another uplifting blog entry. I especially love the close-up of the variegated marigolds and the smattering of nature quotes. The tomatoes look healthy. I suppose you have the best conditions - hot and dry. Thank you for taking us with you on your walk. Have a happy week. xx

Oh how I love your photos of your walks. I don't yearn for spring yet (crazy in North country...LOL) but I enjoy your flora and fauna. Love that little black cat. Looks like my Grand cat, Tahmo. :) Kit
