The whole culture is telling you to hurry,
while the art tells you to take your time.
Always listen to the art.

Today after volunteering at the hospital,
I walked across the street to The Hub, a gallery space with ever changing exhibitions.
Today's exhibit was printmaking done by the students of Kuwait University's Interior Architecture Department.
It was interesting to read their artist statements and to hear about the techniques they used in their printmaking.
The diversity of work and talent on display was inspiring to see.
Art enables us to find ourselves
and lose ourselves at the same time.

What a fabulous exhibition Tammy! SO many talented artists!
Dearest Tammy,
Art is like balm for the soul where we can dream and float on the sea of time.
We all need that and even more so in this hectic world.
Lovely photos!
Hugs,
Mariette

It is nice that you can spend some time visiting exhibitions. My husband is also an art lover but the weekends are mostly gone into extra work and rest. I should plan on visiting nearby art galleries.
Inspiring artwork Tammy. ♥

How cool you have a rotating exhibit so close to you … inspiration abounds. And I LOVE your selfie - a perfect and fitting ending with that quote!

Wow, great exhibit! I liked the one that looked like a circle of Arabic script.
The gallery walls remind me of Braille. :)
Hello dearest Tammy,
isn't it a pitty that the whole culture is telling us to hurry?!?! I prefere taking time and watching art, too (or being in the nature - which is also some wonderful kind of art) :-) <3
Hugs my dear,

You are so right that everyone is in a hurry these days! Lovely works of art with the prints!
Wonderful exhibit! I've never fully understood the whole print-making process but I'm in awe. Love the quote at the start of your post. We need more slowing-down.
Cute selfie!
