Crafting Happiness

Beautiful things come together
one stitch at a time.
We never know how many people will show up for our crafty mornings, but had a great turnout with 14 very talented ladies in attendance today.  It's always fun seeing what everyone is up to.
The mall where we met is currently decorated with a candy them for an event taking place later in the week.
Thinking of everyone who may be in the path of Irma.  A childhood friend in Houston was evacuated and lost just about everything in the flooding there.  I certainly can't complain about the weather or anything else knowing the devastation and destruction that's taking place all across the States and around the world.
Count your blessings.
Take time to do what makes your soul happy.
Stay safe and blessed,

So true, your last words. We are dealing with horrendous smoke but it is nothing compared to Houston or Florida. So sad, Kit

Tammy - as our relocation to Montana has progressed, it is starting to hit home that we miss our circle of friends. So, I am inspired by your post - I can sit here and wait for a craft circle to invite me (not going to happen) or I can start to take a proactive approach. Our church bulletin always has a blurb about the prayer shawl ministry - I am going to start there and see where it leads. Thank you for giving me a push! And of course, all the work by the ladies is lovely!!!

Beautiful crafts. Looking at each photo was a real treat today. Our country is in trgaic shape to be sure, but we will survive. Sorry to hear about your friend. Along with the excruciating stories are the wonderful stories of the kindness of strangers. That's what we are made of, not what the news has been showing for months.
Many blessings my friend,
Betsy

It must be wonderful crafting closely with a group - see all the work being done and getting inspired.
On another note Irma has us all on our toes. I am always in awe at nature's extreme power-lashes. Praying for all!

So many lovely pieces of needlework. It's wonderful that you have such a great group of ladies to meet frequently.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend, Tammy. The hurricane season seems to be extreme this year. It's awful how many people lost almost everything already.
Hugs,
Julia

Thank you for sharing all your friend's projects! I was hoping to see the bedspread, maybe she didn't come this time. We're watching Hurricane Irma hit Florida on the news right now. What winds and rain! I'm so glad our fire has abated. They have not changed the evacuations as of yet, we're still under level #2. Enjoy your cooling weather. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

It's so hard to sit safely here in Wisconsin while friends in Florida are about to get pummelled by Irma.

Tree photo is breathtaking. I love the collage of working hands and handiwork too. Have a good week, Tammy. :)

Tammy - to respond to your comment on my last hiking post - we are affected by the smoke off and on - it really depends on how the wind is blowing. Friday we could not see more than a 1/2 mile in any direction, but the next day was normal. Thursday and Friday we should get rain - it will really help!

Wow, Tammy. Even those big candy and cookie decorations look quite awesome. I am so happy you are groups doing things you love. It's true that many people in the States are experiencing traumatic events. My heart goes out to everyone in Texas and Florida. Thanks for your visits. Love them. Susan

Dearest Tammy,
Well, one stitch at a time teaches us all perseverance in life and we have to keep in mind; the wonderful end result for keeping us going!
Lovely photos and a fun candy theme.
I'm finally trying to catch up as we were 2 days without Internet/TV due to Irma passing over Georgia.
There are still people in town without power, ours was off only for 8 hours!
So lucky with no damage and driving around you see trees down and power lines broken etc.
In Florida it is mainly the flooding that caused severe damage.
We ought to keep all people in Texas and Florida in our prayers and once more be more grateful for every day we have!
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

Such a wonderful gathering of talented hands. I love seeing all the varied stitching happening. Prayers for your childhood friend to find healing and rebuild their life. <3

There's so much around you to inspire creativity, both in nature and in the city's themed decorations. It must be satisfying to get together in your group as you encourage one another in making beautiful items. I'm sorry to hear of your friend's traumatic experience. Life is hard for so many. We who have easier lives count our blessings.

I love that image of the sun through the trees and foliage, just stunning.. the hurricane season has been just horrid this year, we all have someone somewhere that lost everything, and our hearts are collectively paining for them all... xox

Hi Tammy!

I wonder what event that took place in the mall?
Some candy release? I showed the lollipops for my hubby
and he did get sooo excited. ALWAYS looking out for some sweets.
Everywhere!

Hope all is fine with you. You are right when you say we should
not complain about the weather here either. Honestly everyone in
Sweden complains about the weather all the time. It´s too hot, it´s
too cold, it´s too rainy or just boring. ;D Maybe I´m like that too...?
I try to not be though.

Have a wonderful weekend! I will send you mail soon.
Hugs Sussie.
