A Jarful of Love

Biweekly, and sometimes more often, I spent Saturday mornings with a very talented group of crafty ladies.  Crochet, knitting, cross-stitch ... anything goes.
We change up the location to keep things interesting.
Yesterday at our meet-up, I received a lovely late birthday gift from Mini of the blog Miniz Diary.
Peace, love and crocheting.
Don't need much more than that, now do I?

Mini is actually the one who got in touch with me through my blog last year and that's how I got involved with the craft group.  It's given me the opportunity to meet some wonderful ladies and to make new friends for which I'm very grateful.
I also received this gorgeous knitted camel dishcloth from Karen.
And this is the jarful of love.
One of the ladies in our group is getting married this summer and many months ago, Karen and I joked that we would make hearts for her to give as gifts or use however she sees fit at the wedding.
Then we found out there could be as many as 750 guests in attendance.
Yikes!

But, I still wanted to surprise her and try to make it happen so several us got to work buying the right yarn (she wants a white theme) and set to making hearts.
We do still have a ways to go though.
Only 272 in the jar that we surprised her with yesterday.
You know what I'll be doing in my spare time.

Sunday blessings,

Caring friends getting together and doing all sorts of handwork harkens back to a gentler time and is PRICELESS! How fun is that knitted camel cloth. You and the ladies will get those beautiful white hearts crocheted even though that is the largest number of wedding attendants I have heard of. Thank goodness you aren't having to feed them all. It is a very soggy Sunday here as the rain is steady and heavy. We still need lots and so far...so good. Wonderful Week Dear...

What a fun way to spend your time. There's nothing like meeting with other ladies who like to do the same types of things. Love your dishcloth and the little wall hanging. They're perfect. And what a wonderful thing to offer to do making the hearts. That's a lot of hearts! I know you can do it! Have a wonderful week!
Blessings, Betsy

You are such a busy lady. J'm sure your crafting group does much more than get together and craft. Women's groups are wonderful for keeping you together. Diane

What a sweet idea to crochet hearts for the wedding, Tammy. I can imagine your surprise when you heard that there might be 750 guests. After you made so many already, you can probably crochet them while you're asleep ;).
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Julia

Looks like you enjoyed a wonderful day. ♥
My weekend was spent doing what I love best... spending time with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. Every weekend is virtually spent in the same way. :) Now, we're getting ready to leave on our spring break vacation, just 4 days away now.
