Festival of Cookies

Yesterday my good friend, Melissa, held her annual Christmas Cookie Festival.
We started out by playing games.
Guess the number of candies in the jar.  Place a paper on top of your head and draw a snowman.  Holiday word search (the only game I won).  And the dice game where you roll a 1 or 6 and gift boxes are taken from the other players until time runs out (whoever is left with a gift gets to keep it).
There were appetizers and main dishes -- she always makes sure to have vegetarian/vegan dishes just for me.
And the finale.
A big container of homemade cookies for everyone to take home.  She spends weeks doing all the baking herself.
A wonderful afternoon of festive fun, food and friendship.
She even made a separate batch of vegan cookies just for me which I enjoyed this morning for breakfast.

Happy holidays!

Oh my goodness! This sounds like so much fun. What a lot of work for the hostess. Everything looks so festive. She must love her friends so much! How sweet that she makes vegan options just for you. I used to make dozens of different cookies every year when our children lived at home. Now...I would eat them and I don't need them so I don't do nearly as much baking, just a few different kinds. Merry Christmas!
Blessings,
Betsy

What a fun party. And she even made special cookies for you! We played a game at quilt guild for gift exchange. People kept stealing my gifts! But I came home with quilting books.

Have a great Holiday.

Looks like so much fun - and what a wonderful friend you have to make vegan cookies just for you. Is that her house that's all lit up? Absolutely beautiful, if it is.

Someone left a tiny packet of 3 homemade cookies in my letterbox yesterday, and it cheered up my day's routine considerably. A whole party with cookies and games and fun sounds marvelous! :)

Oh Tammy what a beautiful layout. I would like any of those cookies. Making Tim Tam Bailey' Irish Liqueor biscuits today. Well as soon as the rest of my ingredients arrive. If I make them too early, I (sh,sh,sh,) just might eat them all. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

So glad you had a fun celebration, Tammy. I have one of the doilies you made me under my teapot and another one under my sugar bowl. Yesterday our power was out for nearly eight hours and I made tea light candle chai tea which was so good. You are often in my thoughts with love and I wish you and yours happiness. xx

What a beautiful way to celebrate! I love seeing how life is so different where you are (yet so similar too) I honestly think the snowman drawing is my favorite! And of course seeing the Hershey Kiss cookies that I have not baked this year (from being ill)
Merry Christmas to you!

Dearest Tammy,
What a labor of love by Melissa! That sounds like very special to gather and play the games, enjoy the food and the cookies.
So considerate for baking vegan cookies too!
Did you get my email from December 14?
Hugs and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

That looks like fun ....

My daughter is also vegan. She gets lots of questions. She is also appreciative of kindness and respect regarding that. Your friend is a gracious hostess.
