Wednesday Walk

The weather this afternoon was just way too beautiful to waste.  As soon as we got home from school, I changed my clothes and immediately headed out for a walk.
Soaking up the sun and my surroundings.
Wandering up and down neighborhood streets as I like to do.
From 3:45 until 5:15 p.,m., an hour and a half went by in no time.

Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence and nothing too much.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wishing you a wonderful day,

I love walking - by myself. : ) Looks like you indeed have great weather for it, and here - not so much. All of the schools are closed today due to the subzero temps. Our actual high temp today is -5 and that's without the wind - with the wind added in, it's -40
I drove in late to work and my normal 1/2 hour trip took me an hour and that was on the interstate where it was like a blizzard. The sun is shining, and yet a blizzard due to the winds blowing all of the snow we received last night. Pretty typical harsh winter weather for Illinois.

I love the quote-and I love all the pavers on the sidewalks-pretty cool and interesting too as they seem to be different.
I must get back to walking again-too cold this week but I must get to it-

I so enjoy taking walks with you Tammy. That sidewalk is really pretty. Thank you for taking us with you. It's so cold and slippery here that I can't get out and walk right now.
Blessings,
Betsy

Dearest Tammy,
Great quote by Waldo Emerson; he too knew its importance.
Tonight it will be -8°C here and it is also nippy during the day. As I am nursing back from a nasty, persisting bladder infection I will NOT walk now... Wish I could!
Looking forward to spring weather.
Enjoy your surroundings.
Hugs,
Mariette

Lovely way to unwind after your day of school/work. That is the perfect quote too. Walking and unwinding...priceless!

I wish we had a place to walk. I live in Evergreen Hills and that's just what it is. Someday when we move.

Love "seeing" your walks. It's much too cold and wet to be out that long here...would love to be there joining you!

1.5 hrs is a good amount of walking. I get only 20 min in morning and then 20 min in afternoon when I walk to the bus stop to get my daughter from school bus. Other times I have all the excuses of work to stay at home.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful walk, Tammy...the rooster is so handsome!

I swam laps at the gym indoor pool today and the sunlight coming in through the windows, glistening in the water was so pretty! xx

Well, that's a quote from RWE I've not seen before! SO many good words from that man.
And I notice he put "endurance" first...that's a Yankee, alright. ;)
