Changing Things

Apparently I am pattern illiterate.
I used the same type of yarn; I used an H hook with the red basket and an I hook with the other two.  I followed the same pattern.

So how did each one turn out entirely different?
Oh well!  They are unique and handmade and will be useful as gift baskets or for holding bits and bobs.

If you are looking for a charitable opportunity, a way to give back, then please read Vicki's post here.
"I used to pray that God
would feed the hungry,
or do this or that,
but now I pray that he will guide me
to do whatever
 I am supposed to do,
 what I can do.

I used to pray for answers,
but now I'm praying for strength.
I used to believe that prayer changes things,
but now I know that prayer changes us,
and we change things."
Mother Teresa

We all have opportunities each and every day to create change in this world,
in big and small ways, for the good.

Have an awesome day!

I don't know how they all turn out different, but they're sweet that way - nice that they're all unique! :)

NO you are not pattern illiterate Tammy, I'm just making a crochet fox and one leg looks bigger than the other, again I used the same hook and yarn. I think it must be that I was more relaxed when making one leg. lol
Have a lovely weekend.

That sounds like something that would happen to me. :) But they are so very cute. What pattern are you using?

Different, but all are beautiful. They are like people. Each one is unique.

All of your baskets are beautiful. Maybe the tension was a but different or something. I read through the entire link.. It is wonderful what people are doing for the children. We have a "daughter" we support in Brazil. We've been paying for all of her needs for years and hope to actually meet her someday. Thank you for showing me yet another need. We'll pray about it and decide what to do.
Blessings,
Betsy

Well, I like each of your baskets, Tammy :) That pattern is on my want-to-do list, too. Also I appreciate the info on the Uganda need. My great niece has been in Uganda for six weeks on a care and share project, and I am eager to hear her report.

It is amazing how making the same thing over can turn out such different results isn't it. I do find that different yarns have a different result, so perhaps that accounts for some of it! xx

Your pattern illiteracy looks pretty lovely, from here!

Mother Teresa's words are timely, true, and effectively eloquent.

Thanks for sharing, Tammy.

Have a lovely weekend!

Gorgeous baskets, it is strange how things sometimes turn out differently when you follow a pattern but you are not alone in this, Tammy! They both look sweet, and will be useful and pretty to use.
Happy weekend.

Very interesting that I started a cream colored basket last night. I made these several years ago and after seeing Tanna's decided it was time to make some more. Love yours.

Beautiful baskets! The difference may be due to how tight or loose you crocheted them. Anyway they are unique and nice in their own way. Lovely words by Mother Theresa.

Sometimes I've made two socks that look quite different, and all I can think is it's a reflection of how I'm feeling at the time I'm knitting.
(Or gremlins!)
I love your little baskets. I've been meaning to knit and felt some little boxes for ages, but never seem to get to it. Maybe this Winter.
Isn't Vicki a marvel? And an inspiration.

Dearest Tammy,
Your three baskets all look lovely. It doesn't really matter if you produce a few rounds more or less; all are uniquely hand made with LOVE!
With a positive and giving attitude, yes we can change the world, however little but it leaves an impact.
Hugs to you and hope your Friday was lovely.

Baskets always do that to me too!
I love your red basket. Great idea to do a little everyday. I follow my grandma's tradition of a little time with my morning cuppa of choice, sure makes a great start to the day.

I love many of Mother Theresa's quotes. That's a great one! Not sure what happened with the baskets but they still look darn cute!

This is very beautiful, Tammy! And the baskets super pretty.
Thanks a lot for your note, always such a pleasure for me to have you visit.
I am sorry to hear what you told me, but at the same time I'm sure you have made the right decision if it's from the heart. Always a very good idea to remove that type of negative energy from our lives, and I'm sure you will make good use of this time of reflection.
Sending you love and hope and joy,
Monica xo
