A Wonderful Weekend

After being closed for renovations for 2 years and 9 months, the SAS opened up again in September.  (It was hard to get a good picture but they've designed the hotel to look like a cruise ship.)
Inside the hotel is one of the best Chinese restaurants, The Peacock, which is where we went to lunch yesterday.
.
I had Chinese vegetable soup, vege dim sum, vege spring rolls and cabbage in garlic sauce.
(The guys had garlic shrimp and pepper beef.)
After lunch we made our way to the plant souk.
My balconies have been looking pretty bare since so many of my plants died over the long, hot summer.
I happily spent 2 hours yesterday and 3 hours today repotting everything.  Still have more to do, but ran out of potting soil.
Fall is definitely in the air around here so I am back to taking long walks on the weekends.  An hour yesterday morning, an hour and a half this morning, and then 45 minutes this afternoon with Sam.

Earlier this month, our oldest son celebrated his 18th birthday.
And today is Zack's 15th birthday.
This picture was taken at the top of Batu Caves in Malaysia.  He looks like a giant but it's just because I was taking it from below.
I hope whatever you do, your weekend is wonderful, too.
Best wishes and blessings,

What a clever idea for a Hotel. Especially since my husband does not want to go on a cruise.

Happy 18th to your son Zack. He's one good looking kid.

Your dinner looks very yummy.

It WAS a wonderful weekend for you wasn't it. That is my kind of weekend, eating out at a great place, getting my hands in the dirt, spending time in nature, and of course nothing better than family birthdays.:)

Happy Birthday to both of your boys! The restaurant theme is very clever. I'm with the previous poster, I can't get my Hubby to even consider a cruise so that would be as close as I would probably get. :-)
Enjoy your weekend of cooler weather and thanks for taking us along.
Blessings,
Betsy

Belated 18th Birthday Wishes to Yusef and a very Happy 15th Birthday to Zack!! Aaron turns 15 in December...oh how the time flies. Those veggie foods look so yummy!! We've been getting into some gardening with spring here...trying to get it done before the unbearable heat of summer. Can't wait to see a pic of your balcony all freshly 'planted'. :)

Lovely photos from your walk...good for you. Walking is very good for us and it's nice to take in the sights along the way.

Have a fabulous weekend! xo

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Zack - how nice we share the same date! I wish him well always and know he must have enjoyed that huge birthday feast!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my age Tammy - I don't mind the number and am just feeling blessed to be able to keep celebrating each year as Oct. 26 arrives. It was a perfect day yesterday - blue skies, sunshine, about 60 high, and we took a ride to the countryside. What more could I have asked for.

Like you I need to work on plants - am hoping to get pansies/violas in soon.....they love the chilly weather and will put on their big show come Spring.

Happy day dear - Mary X

Happy Birthday to your son!

There you're planting and here we're tearing out the dead plants at the end of the growing season before the long winter sets in. :)
