Gifts and the Game

This oil lamp with pretty crocheted cover was gifted to me by Mona, my friend who is visiting from Lebanon. She is very artistic and creative. You name it, she can do it!

She also brought us a tin of date and pistachio cookies flavored with rose water.

I had a few (or more) with coffee this morning.

We had blue skies for Zack's 2:30 pm ballgame.

It was a close one but his team pulled it out with a final score of 4-2.

Of course, the snacks after the game are the best part. (Zack is the one standing.)

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday! Best wishes for a wonderful weekend. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy,
Happy Friday to you too. I'm so glad that our weekend is finally upon us, as it's seemed like a very, very long week.
Those blue skies look lovely and I'm so hoping for a day in this next week where we too, might be outside in just shirt sleeves and no coats. Today is not that day yet, but the weather forecast is improving and maybe... just maybe.... we'll hit 50 in the next week. Time will tell.

Have a great weekend,
Linda

Those cookies look yummy. HI ZACK!

Glad the sun's shining in your neck-of-the-woods.

The rose water flavoring in the cookies reminded me of the time a friend of mine gave me some gum that was flavored with Lavender. THAT was not good. I love the smell of it but the taste in the gum was ~ well, icky.

Just sayin.....Jan

Sounds like a wonderful day! Congratus to Zack. The oil lamp is beautiful. I'll bet it so pretty when lit, just a soft glow with the crochet covering. Continue your happy day and weekend.

Sounds like a good Friday to me. Cookies for breakfast, a nice sunny day, and a winning baseball team. Mona's oil lamp is lovely. She really is very creative. I knew she cross stitched, but did not know that she crocheted as well.
Hope you found some time to relax today. I am looking forward to hearing about your visit with Mona!

Love ya.

I've never seen an oil lamp with a crocheted cover before. It's beautiful.
I read your comment about not getting candy hearts. I don't have an email to write you back, but was wondering if you wanted me to pick up some to send to you? I'd be happy to do it Tammy :-) I guess these can be sent in the mail, can't they?
Blessings,
Marcia
