Simply Saturday

Cleaning was on the agenda for today. After all those dust storms last week, it was much needed. And since cleaning is not my favorite thing to do, I often take little breaks to craft ...

or blog ... or eat.

Remember this photo from yesterday.

See the beautiful napkin. I brought it home with me from Shereen's place. I had a coffee can that I had already spray painted a copper color and this napkin matched it perfectly.

Now this upcycled coffee can will be filled with Christmas cookies and treats and given to Shereen when I visit her tomorrow.

I also came across some rose rub-ons so added them to a recycled glass jar, and found this cross-stitching I did some time back that I had a perfect white frame for. I love when I find things that I forgot I had.

Pajama days are the best, even if cleaning is involved. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend whatever you may be doing. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hello Tammy! Glad you are having an "at home" day. Always nice to see your post. Now pul-eese tell me....how can you eat those yummy cookies and candies and not get fat? I need to know your secret. You look fabulous. What do you do, take a tiny bite only of each one?

Take care and have a fun weekend. Susan

I love the way you make everything you have to do, fun. That coffee can is such a beauty now. How surprised your friend will be to see her napkin come back in a different form...but then again, your friends must expect things like this. So inventive and eco-friendly!!
Hope all the dust is gone and your cleaning stays that way!! Want some snow?
Have a good evening and day tomorrow...

That embroidered rose is LOVELY! The coffee can looks so unique and filled with your home baked cookies will undoubtedly make for a welcome gift!

Enjoy your weekend and yes, I'm all for pajama days especially when it is raining...

I love how you just put things together you already had on hand. The cookie tin came out great! Love the rose too!

Tammy, the food you always feature in your photographs always looks so interesting and tasty! PJ days! Oh my gosh I try and have them, but I can't turn my busy brain off long enough to relax. Perhaps I need a dust storm! Have a lovely week ahead! Elizabeth

I love my jammies, too! Warm and relaxing!

Fun stuff today Tammy. And those chocolates looked wonderfully tempting, too!

Cleaning is such a task. I can see that you were able to entertain yourself between dusting, tho!

No, I didn't do the 1st Day of Christmas yet. It's enough to try to get to the daily challenges over at DW. Yikes....

I'm not in my jammies, but in some really comfy sweats and t-shirt and drinking hot chocolate. Writing to YOU when I should be doing laundry. Ah, great minds!

Hugs,
Jan

You are so funny - taking breaks while cleaning. If I took a break, I wouldn't get back to it at all he-he.

Oh Tammy! I love the Partridge Family song! And, I too made paper garland for my "night light" tree and went ahead and decorated it with just different garlands - no ornaments. I kind of like it! I should post the picture. Merry Christmas girlfriend!

Hi Tammy,
What a busy and funny day to you! Honestly I scare of the cleaning (but sometimes I have to :)). Enjoy your day!

Hi dearest Tammy! Oh wow, your napkin-decorated cookies-can is wonderful! Perhaps you should make some more of them if you get 15 variety of cookies at the cookie festival of your friend? (That sounds great!) Thank you for your nice words - I wish you and your family wonderful holidays, too! Warm winter-hugs from Austria, Traude

The fruits of your creativity are delightful, Tammy! The coffee tin turned out so beautiful! I didn't envy you all that cleaning though. ;)

I am laughing to read about your cleaning day, because when I clean, I am the exact opposite. No stopping, no break, just get it done. HA! Somehow, your way looks like a lot more fun!! It make me smile to remember how you have such wonderful things tucked away that can be turned into lovely gifts. I am sure Shereen was very happy to see all your handiwork.

Love,
Renee
