Not Your Typical Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Zack climbed a tree.

Yep! He's wearing shorts. Our afternoon temps are in the mid 70's.

Skies were blue!

This is the second year hubby has treated an employee and his wife out to lunch for Christmas.

They are from India and I am quite certain they have never, ever stepped foot inside a Japanese restaurant before. Well, now they have.

We walked a bit afterwards and then came back home for tea and gifts.

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas. (W. C. Jones)

Our oldest son was away with a friend and just came back home today. Another Christmas come and gone. I hope yours was filled with all things merry and bright! Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy,

Sounds like you had a lovely time and how neat that your husband treated an employer and his wife out to lunch. So lovely when we can do these random acts of kindness, for others.
It is shorts for us here too.
Happy holidays

Hugs
Carolyn

Dearest Tammy,

Funny... having dinner with some friends is what we did for our Christmas Eve so that is not much different from yours!
Lovely way you filled in the text for this blog. Reaching out to others is THE most rewarding thing to do and once you learned how to, it is giving you back ten-fold. Satisfaction is not for sale on any store-shelf nor boutique...

Lots of love,

I hope you had a beautiful Christmas, Tammy. How lovely that your hubby treated an employee out to dinner. My brother does that each Christmas for his employees too and they all have a fabulous time. The photos are wonderful!

All the very best for 2011,

Hello dear, if I visit your blog, I feel an air of gratitude. The Bible says "we take for grace, by grace we have received ', so your husband puts into practice these spiritual laws, which take us back in many ways a blessing, is well, greetings, Rose Marie

Hi Tammy....We had lunch with others on Christmas, too. No matter what corner of the world we are in, sharing happy times with others makes our holidays special. Thanks for sharing yours. Hope your day today is happy, too.

Merry Christmas, Tammy!, (although a day late). I've been so busy and haven't been by your blog lately, so just now I read through your posts of everything I've been missing. I just adore your friend's glass creations--absolutely beautiful! And those cookies look so yummy! The days before Christmas look like they were enjoyed well with you and friends. God Bless You this coming year, Tammy.

Hi Tammy,
Yay, my computer let me thru! Maybe it's gonna behave afterall. Your husband must be a kind and thoughtful man. So wonderful you can help others feel less far-from-home.
Bless you,
Mary

What a nice way to spend Christmas. *Giving* of yourselves, for someone else! Glad you're having such wonderful weather. Christmas day was sunny, but we had more rain last night. We've had lots of rain...as you know, not typical desert weather :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

Sounds like a nice day Tammy.

Thanks so much for the Christmas card. I sent you one but I sent it to the return address you had on the envelope. Oops...I guess you may not get it. I thought maybe you would be in the States for Christmas. I guess I got mixed up.

It makes me smile to see your blue skies and shorts during the last week of the year. It is more of the same here, although it is getting cooler in the late afternoon. There might be hope for some cooler weather yet... Your afternoon looks relaxing and wonderful. Your hair looks really long somehow, and I know you just got it cut. It looks great!

Glad you had a nice lunch!

Love,
Renee
