A Simple Gift

Meet my friend Shereen.
\
That crazy girl would not cooperate for the camera at all. Last nite we met for Indian food, hubbies included.

Shereen is very good about writing thank you notes and sharing little gifts from the heart.

I love quotations so enjoyed reading through this little book she gave me last nite.

"Life is not made up of great sacrifices and duties but of little things; in which smiles and kindness given habitually are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort." (Sir Humphrey Davy)

Wishing you joy and comfort in these final days of 2010! Friendship blessings, Tammy

Three things I know about your friend...

1. She's a giving person
2. She has good taste in jewelry
3. She's shy...lol

What a generous and thoughtful friend who doesn't like the camera! Times spent with friends are priceless.

Thanks for reminding me about Simple Abundance. I have that book and will be re-reading it this year after not reading it last year.

Finally, I can get on here. Firstly, I love your new page and the two photos. I remember you taking them in Doha. They would look awesome together in a real photo frame. Secondly, what's up with you having "crazy friends"...lol. When I saw the first photo, I thought you were showing off the napkin for some reason until I read it. Lucky for you to have crazy friends....they seem so nice and lovely:* Another book of friendship quotes added to your collection. Thought we had them all already. Glad to see your out of your funk and getting out of the house.

Hello Tammy...So happy you and your husband got to go out to dinner with dear friends. Shereen sounds like a great friend to have. Some people just don't like to be photographed and that's okay. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a really great day today. You have a loving spirit and that, in itself, is a gift. Susan

Those thoughtful friends who always remember how special it is to receive a note or gift are the best. You are lucky to have people like that in your life! Where will you be putting your new gift in your home?

Dearest Tammy,

Wish we would have with you for that Indian food dinner; YUMMY! It is our favorite food, together with all Asian foods. Could eat it every day.
You exchanged far more than the little book; deep friendship!

Lots of love,

LOL! I have a lot of Christmas pictures with me holding stuff up in front of me or me peeking out from behind. I hate having my picture taken :)

She sounds like a lovely friend to have!

Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!

I got some Christmas packed today and cleaned where I packed... I always just pack in sections rather than mess up the whole house... Most will remain till next week as I need to clean and do laundry tommorrow and prepare for guests for Christmas Eve... Blessings for a safe and Happy New Year.

I had a laugh when I saw Shereen's picture. She is as bad as Nasser was in Doha. HA! What a perfect gift for you, the queen of quotes. Nice that you and Sam are finding nice people to enjoy your time with!!
