Home Alone!

Jingles and I enjoyed are day at home while the boys were away. She sat outside on the balcony all day while I blogged and crocheted inside.

I was finally able to give my blog a holiday appearance. The family photo was taken by my friend, Renee, while we were visiting with her in Qatar a couple of weeks ago.

I crocheted another angel using different yarn so it is smaller than the first one I made some time back. Still a little big for an ornament. I must try crocheting with thread at some point.

Finished off another skinny scarf and a trellis scarf. My cousin, Gwen, taught me the trellis stitch which is basically just chains. So easy to do and makes up a really nice scarf.

If you like crochet, then you must visit Stitch of Love. She makes the most wonderful crocheted items. After visiting her today, I crocheted a sweet little Christmas tree.

She used her own crocheted tree to make a card but I'm not sure what I will do with mine yet. I didn't follow the pattern exactly, just used it as a guide. You can see her post and the pattern here. She's all the way over in Vietnam and is one of my newest followers. How exciting is that?

I tell you, I am still amazed by all the creative inspiration that is to be found in this land of blogging and the wonderful connections that are made through comments. All at the click of a button.

Back to school tomorrow so I am off to bed now. Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday in your corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy,
I like the new holiday look to your blog :)

Pretty crocheted items and sounds like a nice quiet day. I keep wanting to tell you what I sent long ago, and that is apparently lost, but then I keep holding out hope that it might turn up. I wonder what happens to the packages - someone else keeps them, I guess.

No crafting going on here, just preparations for daughter's birthday which is Friday. :)

Have a great remainder to the week my friend.

I love the holiday look too. Makes me feel good to hear your peaceful day story. I am a big crocheter too and get daily e-mails from Hooked on Crochet, All Free Patterns. I am going over to your friend's to check that out. I will post all my ponchos, fingerless gloves, (for texting) and hats as soon as grands see them. I would love to have a blogger friend in Vietnam. Blessings

Thanks for your blog comment. :)

As for the package -
It was a small box, around 9" x 5", tightly packed and very adequately taped/packaged and addressed to you at the school address. :)

With Sarah's Birthday Friday, and our Christmas celebrations on the 18th and the 23rd (more on that later) that's not much time so everything HAD to be wrapped and bought months before. Jim's Birthday is Christmas Eve. Thus... I always have to have everything done well ahead of time. Plus that's just part of my personality - I wouldn't be happy any other way. ;)

Dearest Tammy,

You've been very industrious with your crochet work! Jingles is a pretty feline. Did she come from the US too? We're familiar with bringing a pet over as immigrant... They're part of the family too.

Enjoy your week.

What a lovely photo! I recognized it immediately, and was happy that I was able to get it for you. Usually when the three of us are together, we take the exact same pictures. HA!
Your day off looks just heavenly. I can see how relaxed Jingles was, and from the looks of all the crocheting, you were in that same state. How wonderful for you.
The crochet items you are making get better and better. I love the fact that you are finding such wonderful inspiration on the blogs that you visit. Really an amazing thing!

Hope your Wednesday is a good one!!

Love,
Renee

Sometimes I wish I could just sit down and concentrate on something for 2 minutes to make. Doesn't happen. The quiet time I do get is playing on the computer.
Love your winter wonderland look. Very festive and its getting me in the mood. Going to Dubai for 3 days on Dec. 31. Hopefully all the Xmas decorations are still up. Let me know if you need anything from there.
