Zack Attack

Today is Zack's 12th birthday.

This is his first year of band at school and, as you can see, he is learning to play the saxophone. Maybe we'll have a jazz musician one day.

I requested a dedication to him on the radio this morning which he said was totally embarrassing. Ha! That's what mom's are for, right!

Hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Good morning, Tammy!

Oh, wow! I've been such a bad blogger this week! I've missed so much...happy birthday to your budding jazz musician! Happy Anniversary to you and your sweetheart--love that photo! Never heard of Dorset buttons, but I love learning about new crafts with such a history, so I'll be checking out that link!

I hope your day is wonderful, dear friend...and embarassing our children is what it's all about, right?!

Catching up on your blog, which is always fun to read. Happy birthday to your son, happy anniversary, and happy crocheting! I feel your pain, it's disappointing but at least you tried and next time it may be better! It's that fine delicate work that is complicated in my mind at least. Hope you're having a good week!

Happy birthday Zack. That is a whole lot of horn. I know my kiddos were like that one about the public shows of affection and congratulations. He will grow out of that. LOL

Congratulations to Zack!!
I used to love to get radio greetings!! then again, us girls are different on that, right?
Good luck to him learning a music instrument. Music, they say, is of great benefit for a young person. Did you ever learn to play something? I played "marimba" with my brother (gave a couple of concerts) when we were little, and tried to learn to play the guitar...unsuccessfully :o)) At least we tried.

have a great day!!

Ah, you used the "Mom" ticket. Good for you! Even though he SAID he was embarassed, I bet he was happy you thought of him on his 12th birthday!

Our son played Saxaphone for awhile, too. I love the sound of it....David Sanborn is wonderful.

Have a great birthday week with your handsome son!

A happy birthday to your Zack. I just found your blog and look forward to reading more.

My husband took lessons on the saxophone and he still teases his little brother for how he used to pronounce saxophone. He would call it a "fackaphone."

My youngest took up the sax in band....cost his dad a fortune and then decided he'd rather be the drum major.....coz he likes to boss people around.....wonder where that sax is now?!!!!
embarrassing mums make for character.....if you can survive her....the rest is gravy!!!!

Happy Birthday to Zack. I remembered that it was this week, but forgot what day exactly. As it turns out, yesterday was my brother's 14th wedding anniversary. It was at his wedding that I realized I was pregnant with Omar. How time flies...
Zack looks great with a saxaphone. I think that is one of my favorite instruments. I hope he has fun with it.
Good for you for the whole birthday dedication on the radio. These kids need to know that it brings us great pleasure to embarrass them every once in a while. HA!
Have a great Tuesday!!

Love,
Renee

Happy Birthday, Zack! ... My own DH began the sax when he was 15 and is still playing, 50-some years later!

At my sons graduation a mum ( not me ) stood up as her son was being presented and shouted ''THAT'S MA BOY''' thats embarrassing.
I love the saxaphone playing cool jazz.

What? I'm SO terrible!
Today is the 30th and I missed Zack's birthday? I am SO BAD!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACK!!!
I'm losing my mind Tammy! Nobody told me that being 40 for 30 days would come with loss of memory AND loss of time!!!!
;)
He looks like Michael Bolton playing that sax...he's such a little heart breaker!!!
Maybe he'll move to New Orleans...????
(then you'll have to come visit!)
